As far as I'm concerned, what someone does in the bedroom is their own business and not mine. As long as no one constantly rubs their sexuality in my face, I don't care who or what they sleep with.

well its not just about "in the bedroom" people will see homosexual couples (guy or gurl) walking down the street holding hands down the street and people will give descusted looks or joke nastily about it. My friend (well ex bf) and i were beaten up constantly for being gay at our school but the school never did a single thing about it, just a slap on the wrist and the jerks were on our ass the next day.

I don't care if people are homosexual or not. It doesn't matter to me. It really pisses me off when people hate others for their likes and beliefs. I'm not homosexual myself, but I respect others beliefs.

Even so, I think my meaning is fairly obvious. As long as you don't feel the need to be self-righteous about yourself or anything you believe in, I pretty much don't really care if I disagree or not.
I myself am straight, I've got a wonderful girlfriend that I love very much. So I understand that when you love someone, you don't care what other people think about the relationship or about your partner.
Therefore, I see no problem with being attracted to your own gender. If it's where you find love, it's where you find love. Who am I to judge you?

you have a point, but you know the violence and closed mindedness today, there are people out there who will KILL gays for the fact that they are different from being straight.
There have been people I know who were beatin by there parents, their so called friends, and bullys the decided to go straight because they thought being gay is dangerous as well.
I think that the majority of the public needs to have a fu*kin wake up call and learn that there ARE gay people out there weather you like it or not, and they best get use to it and move on, cause there is no other way to get passed it other than senseless violence.

I learned from my sex-ed class that homosexuality is normal (though, I go to Catholic School). Though, I can see that you can have life partners without getting married, but people can do what they want, for we all have a free will.

I know about the close-minds about many people. I share the same beliefs as MR. I do work people who are bisexual, and one of the people that I respect is bisexual. Now, I don't see anything wrong with homosexuals getting married, and the arguments of "keeping marriages pure" is bullshit, marriages have already been broken more than once, hell, it seems to be just one big game with celebrities who seem to get married, and a few months later, get divorces. I agree, gays are just as human as any of us. And I have seen men try to force themsleves on lesbians to "turn them straight". What happened to those guys? Well, they might be having what they oppose so very much right now.

Aries is like a lot of America in this one. It's a thing that's been around for centuries, and people have the right in this country to do what they like, how they like. It's just another thing for Aries that people make way too big a deal of. Now, granted, Aries doesn't think it agrees with HIS brand of lifestyle and reality, but Aries doesn't have the right to arbitrarily condemn it and wish it to be stamped out of existance, naw, naw...Aries really doesn't like stamping out anything.
Except cockroaches. Those deserve to be stamped out. Way too many of the buggers.
Erm, anyway...
Whatever. They're here, they're queer, Aries is used to it, Aries just doesn't wanna hear any details or anything like that. Just another thang of American culture, that.

For the most part, I've found that most people who are violent towards homosexuals, is that they feel threatened by them. I may not be gay, but I do know how it feels to be singled out for attack, I may not be gay, but I certainly know how it feels.
Although, funny thing is that the people I work with, aren't homophobic for the most part, they just get along with those who are gay just llike they were anyone else. Shows you that the people I work with must be the most comfortable with their sexual orientations.

Yar, I highly agree with everybody. People are people no matter what. Love doesn't take on a gender form, it's just love, that's it. So let people love who they love. So many people say "Jesus hates fags" etc. My understanding of Christ (I'm not christian, agnostic, just bringing this up because there's lots of debating about it) was that he was all accepting. And loved everyone. Just look at the friggin' ten commandments, love thy neighbor. So yeah, damn hypocrites.
Anyways, I myself, like MR, am deeply in love with my girlfriend. But honestly, I don't consider myself straight or gay. I'm neither. I'm not bisexual either really. Honestly, I don't believe in sexuality. At least, not for me. I love who I love and gender plays no role in that. If my girlfriend were a boy, I'd love her just the same.
And I do think homosexuals deserve better rights. "Civil unions" ain't cutting it. It's not right that they can't see each other when one of them is in the hospital like a normal married couple can. It's crap, I say. Crap.

I am(or was now that I've found someone with whom I want to spend the rest of my life with and no longer find anyone except him sexually attractive) bisexual. If anyone understands, Xero, I do. And anyone who would be immature and idiotic enough to "beat up" you and your former boyfriend are bigoted idiots who need, as you eloquently said a "f*cking wake up call".
The simple fact that you've adjusted to your sexuality is cool, I think. I'm still not quite ok with that fact about my past.

Well, with politics they say what the majority want to hear. They also find that with gay marriages, politicians will get less money to fund their personal agendas, and they don't want that to happen.
As for the majority thing, that comes from the age-long oppression of the weak by the strong. It's pretty much like the old idea of "Might makes right" from the middle ages. Even though we consider ourselves civilized, the minds of many people are still the same, because homosexuals are considered to be a sub-group of minorities, the majority (the strong) will continue to oppress them until more people speak out.
