Relm lunged out and almost seemed to inhale the offered fish, "Yep, or, at least I think so. I know I'm a dragon, and I know I'm blue, soo...."

"So I take it you've never been to Lyton?" Erin asked.
"See, I was born there and lived there for most of my life, and I wanted to find out how they were doing there."

Aurora bowed slightly. "Forgive me! I seem to have left my manners in Vane. I'm Aurora. Pleased to meet you both."
She ripped off a piece of her fish and fed it to Relm as well, pulling her hands away from him as he ate. She looked at Seris intently and waited for his response to Erin's question.

Mablung awoke early in the morning at his small make shift hut he built earlier at the edge of the camp. He grabbed his staff an exitted. He headed towards the center of the village and sat back relaxing by the fire.

It's feast was complete. Ambiath'c moved from foot to foot as it finished its meal, finished gorging on that immense pile of sacrificed flesh, still the same size as it was when it began.
It mashed its large crunching jaws together again, its four fangs sticking out vertically into each other as it does. Never does the meal truly make the beast full, and ever is it able to eat.
It moved back into the small sewers, crawling slowly through the tunnels much smaller than it, its body worming with its not-totally solid form. Finally, it reached a man whole cover, and the sound of feet above drew the creature to it. Suddenly, with, a burst of speed, like a Geyser into the air, the creature bursted its whole body through the small hole, erupting into the air with a screech.
At the sight, people screamed and began to run, but not all were fast enough. The creature began eating people, perosn after person, their blood running down its slavering jaws.

Tipping his head back until his neck began to hurt, Manae finished off another bottle. He flagged the barmainden as she made her rounds; she knew what to get without him even speaking.
'A nice girl, her,' he thought.
He cupped his chin in his hands, elbows on the table, and closed his eyes. He felt, as so seldom he did, at peace and he smiled. He never got a chance to feel peaceful for long.
The first scream tore through the dark doorway before the maiden got back. The thin, rapier-man was up in an instant. Manae looked, but didn't care. It wasn't really his problem to deal with.
Then another scream came, followed by cries of 'abomination' and 'monster' and 'fiend.' Manae stood, trembling, and lumbered towards the door in a drunken stumble. A smash on the floor let him know he wasn't getting his bottle of whiskey; it was dropped in surprize for seeing him out of a chair he vacated only to use the toilet.
He quickly picked out what was causing such a ruckus when he reached the door. It was hard to miss such a hideous form on the cobblestone road. A massive black spider munched greedily on several bodies before it, making a sickening slurp and crunch of flesh and bone. It was clearly taking its time; nobody here dared harm it, and those that tried would fail. It was the kind of beast that tortured his thoughts every night.
A man with still half a heart stiffened his courage and charged the monster with a torch and pitchfork. A quick swipe of a leg sent his hand flying across the square, landing upon a dried thatch roof. By the time it finished eating him, the entire lane had burst into flame.
Manae popped the snaps securing his broadsword in its sheath. Dust burst from fasteners that hadn't been used in years. Yet, as he drew forth the tapered blade, it shone as if polished an hour before. His eyes flared as he stood tall; villages stared at the hobbled drunk that now towered in front of them. With a cry, he rushed forward at the beast. He anticipated the strike of the spider's front legs, rolling beneath them, carrying himself behind it. As he stood, two legs on the left side fell off onto the street.
'I need to cut back,' Manae chided himself, ' that was aimed for the throat...'
The beast turned to face him, as the legs began growning back out. Anger clearly showed in its still-greedy eyes...

As soon as the legs were removed, the blast shadowy forms seemed to be sucked back into it's body through its other legs, and new legs sprouted from its form.
The beast finally seemed to grow in form slightly, more likely from other reasons than. A few of it's back legs stretch back, giving the creature a slightly taller stance. It lets out a echoing screech of utter ecstasy at the prospect of flesh that would fight back. Its eyes rove around it's head, peering at the different people in the area fleeing, while others moved around surveying Manae.
Finally, with guttural scratching hiss, it lunged forward. Three long arms swung at Manae's form, while it's head moved in for a bite.

Manae gave a hard jump back, spinning his sword to catch any leg that got too close. Keeping just out of range from the bloody maw, he holds out a hand and fires a massive fireball...
that amounts to nothing more than a bright flash of flame no larger than a torch.
'Damnit... maybe I should have kept up with my meditation and practice...' he thinks.

Erin turned abruptly to Kal, and unleashed a weak psychich blast. Realising what she had done to who she thought, she covered her mouth and shuddered.
"Oh, God, I'm so sorry!"

A low chuckle came from behind Manae
"Impressive...quite impressive..."
An elven mage had his head canted off to one side, his hair hanging over his long ears as he peered at the warrior with amusement.
"Hmm...perhaps if you yell loud enough next time you use that spell, you could...I don't know...scare a small child? Hehe..."
The mage calmly walked up beside Manae, despite the spider's close proximity.
"Ah, but I haven't even introduced myself yet...I am-"
Yet the mage was cut off by the spider issuing a deafening screech of rage. Glaring over at the beast, then looking back at Manae, the elf continued.
"Perhaps we'll have to save introductions until later...names don't matter much anyways."
The mage slowly pulled forth a small vial of clear liquid from his cloak that seemed like water. Tapping it lightly with his staff, it began to glow with an inner white light, the mage muttering somthing as he did this. Wasting no time, he shook the vial abruptly, then sent it hurtling directly at the blood-soaked insect...

Aurora looked at Kal, then at Erin, then at Kal again.
"...A little tense, Erin?" Aurora asked, scratching her head and letting out a very soft nervous laugh.

Erin couldn't help but grin. She went over to Kal, to see if he was okay.
"Need any help?" She said between fits of giggles.

Mablung sat against an embankment as he watched over a herd of sheep and goats. This was more difficult than he imagined. He practically was wishing for a pack of warg wolfs to appear so he could face them. He tossed several arrows juggling them in the air. Moonstrider watched puzzled.
"I know, its pathetic, most people wish for peace, I have spent my entire life though fighting to preserve it. To go back to the way things were in my childhood when there is still so much evil, its difficult. How can one not feel a responsibility to take up arms in the face of a sea of evil? But I suppose war itself is evil, my yearn for it has pulled me to the darker side. Has there been one vile I've met who I've spared its life. Half the people in this village former viles. If my martial prowess had been great enough to defeat Nobias, would I have allowed these people to live, or would I have struck them down out of mistrust and hatred? Yet even now, I miss the feel of the sword in my hand, I yearn for the hunt of them, the feel of El-Anchagel in my hand. Undoubtedly a noble pursuit alone, but could the intentions of it be abused and lead to corruption. There have been many Paladins that have fallen to the dark through hunting the dark. I have not despite my many years, or perhaps I have in truth as I no longer know mercy for them. The human followers of Zophar had no warning when I came upon them, I spared many but the first slewn with archery was that just?"
The horse neighed in response. The beast was undoubtedly intelligent, but it could not speak the common tongue.
"Hir-Mablung."
Mablung turned.
"Lady Reana."
"Can you teach me the way of the Paladin."
He raised an eyebrow.
"May I ask why?"
"This village, it will someday be attacked undoubtedly, are we to not be prepared at all for that day."
"Is Silver Fang not here. He has warriors and shaman capable of defending this village."
"Yet they are small in numbers."
"Numbers cannot be used to measure value in battle often, valour, skill, and combat of the individual varies greatly, a boy cannot stack up to a great warrior. I myself have commanded hosts that overcame numbers many times greater than themselves."
"Yet Silver Fang's people were nearly defeated by Nobias decisively, our enclave was not the only powerful demon den on the mountain. An more and more were coming each day plus alliances with evil men. We cannot hope defend ourselves against everything with only half our population fighting."
"Perhaps I can train you in my people's martial arts. But on the condition you never use them till I tell you your ready."
She nodded.
