"Yes ... you're right. As much as I love magic, studying on and on over the same thing does get a bit boring," Aurora said, grinning.
She reached into her bag yet again.
"Well, since we're here, we might as well have lunch. I brought some fresh fish with me and I'd be more than happy to share with you."
She produced three fish frozen solid in an enchanted block of ice and sat it on the ground beside her.
"I'll gather some twigs to start a fire," Aurora said. "This is actually kind of exciting!"
She smiled and hummed as she walked off in search of firewood.

Erin laughed a bit.
"We're magicians, Aurora! We don't need to light a fire the conventional way." Erin said. She steadied her finger, and let loose a small bolt of lightning onto a nearby twig, making it light afire. She picked it up, and put it out in the ground after waving it around. She stood up and walked over to Aurora.
"We just need some tinder and logs. We'll be all set then."

The streets were a little crowded for Slade, but he didn't care. He was exhausted, and thirsty. He found the nearest tavern and walked inside. As he took a seat at the bar, he could feel everyone staring at him. He hated that. He ordered a drink, and tried to think of where he should go next.
"Hey, take a look at this one boys."
The man was large, and Slade really wasn't in the mood. The man got up from his seat, walking towards Slade at the bar.
If he touches me, he dies.
"Where you from, new meat?" The man put his hand on Slade's shoulder
Well, here we go again. Slade drew his sword.

Aurora laughed and blushed a bit.
Wow, I'm such a ditz!
"You're right. I guess I'm just getting way too into this whole adventuring thing. I must seem like a complete twit!" she said, continuing to blush in a most mortified fashion.

"Heh, no problem. I'd probably do the same thing if I'd been born and raised in Vane..." Erin mumbled. She grabbed several large logs, and nodded to Aurora that it was enough.

Seris yawned a bit as he continued walking. He and Kal had been traveling nearly all day, with nothing more than few minute rests since stopping for a meal and finding Relm.
He was just about to suggest finding a place to make camp for the night, when he saw a fire suddenly start just up the path a ways.
He turned towards Kal, "Hey, probably about time to stop for tonight. Why don't you start setting up a fire or something? I'm gonna go see who our 'neighbors' are."

Born and raised in Vane ... well, at least I'm putting up a good front.
Aurora nodded back and sat in front of the fire, adding a few twigs and dry bits of grass for kindling, but was startled by a small noise. She immediately realized they were footsteps.
"Who goes there?" Aurora asked, her voice slightly wavering. She quickly called her staff to her and it flew into her hand, already glowing faintly, ready to be used if necessary.

Seris immediately froze in his tracks and held his hands part way into the air, "Whoa, whoa, easy there. I'm not here to cause any trouble!"
He took a look at the two people by the fire. Two young women, both mages from the look of them.
"Look, I saw the fire when my companion and I decided to stop for the night, and I figured I'd check and see who was there just in case. These aren't exactly the safest times," he continued.
Aurora and Erin didn't look particularly convinced.
"Right.... well... er, I think an introduction is in order. My name is Seris."
At about that moment, Relm finally woke up from his nap, and stretched before jumping off of Seris's pack and hovering in the air beside him.
"Seris, who're these people?" the dragon asked, still yawning slightly, before catching a scent. His nose twitched repeatedly for a moment, "Heeeeeyyyy... is that fish?"

Mablung sat under a tree as he watched the village of the former vampires and the beast men take form. He looked on approvingly. The sun was overhead and the cool sea breeze still reached them here. The scene was quite serene, but the elf's old habits died hard he kept scanning the mountains for enemies. Part of him hoped for combat, he was starting to realize the dragons wisdom though he was a long way from embracing it. For years he sought evil, hoping to destroy it. Never thinking that those under its spell were suffering to. And though he never wished to slay a human he had slayed possibly thousands of Viles the course of his life time. Few battles of prominence in this world had there been in this world that Mablung had not taken a direct part in. He looked into the human part of the village he saw how the humans were loving there lives. How many had he slaughtered of them, how many viles were not truly evil but rather forced into the demonic house. He had spent his life judging others crime, he may have commited many unknowingly.
"I have vowed to fight for the holy flame, though I shall never abandon that oath I shall not fight with this sword, Ïauerog the title and El Anchagel the sword shall be sealed away till the day comes when I am deemed worthy to fight as a dragon master for Althena. Till then no blood shall be shed on my account."
With that he thrust the sword into the tree behind him and carved a staff and saying and let the flame burn in the staff. He then placed a seal on the swords sheath and swore an oath upon the seal with Althena and the Blue Star as his witnesses, only ones whos power could overcome theres could break the seal now. He and Moon Strider walked down into the village. He noticed Reana stuggling to move logs.
"Allow me to get that for you Lady Reana."
He grabbed the two logs and moved them over to where they were needed.
She smiled.
"Though I do love the freedom given to me, part of me misses the iron grip I had as a vampire, after a 100 years its hard to get used to being only human."
"Only human? Never forget its humans who can live in the great places of the world and who's diety loves them and does not use them for their own personal ambition."
"I was only making a joke."
Mablung seemed embarassed.
"My mistake. Please accept my sincerest apologies."
She laughed. Silver Fang approached them
"My friends, we are to start the afternoon meal. Will you join us."
Mablung nodded. Reana replied.
"Of course lead the way."

Erin gave the newcomer an odd look. She lowered her hand, dispersing her attack.
"My name's Erin...And what is that thing?" She said, pointing at Relm.

Aurora relaxed a bit and moved closer to Erin now that the danger had passed.
"Aww ... it looks like a cute little kitten, only with wings!" Aurora said, approaching Relm and scratching behind his ears. "Yes, it's fish. I'll gladly share my portion with you."
Aurora smiled. She didn't sense anything amiss about this man or his flying ball of fluff.
"Where's your companion?" Aurora asked, continuing to pet and scratch Relm.

Seris pointed behind him, "He's back that way a bit, probably trying to get a fire going at our site by now."
Relm grinned widely, starting to make a sound somewhat similar to a purr, "Thanks a lot, Miss. And for the record, I'm a dragon."
Seris sighed, "Not this again..."
Relm stuck his tounge out at Seris.
Seris just shook his head before continuing, "Anyway, you're Erin, so who're you? The two of you look like you're from Vane."

'Ugh. I need to change that...get back to my true self.' Erin thought to herself. She shrugged, and stood up, ripping off a piece of her fish. She walked over to the 'dragon', and held it out to it.
"So, dragon, I guess you'd be the kin of the Blue Dragon?"

Slade turned and shoved his blade into he man's belly. He push the man down and drew his oter blade. The four men sitting with the man all stood. Three drew broadswords and the fourth grabbed a halbierd. Slade blocked the attacks of the first two sword wielders, than step to the side to dodge the charge of the oter two.
Damn these idiots are easy. I can't believe they actually thought they'd stand a chance. The man with the halbierd swung it down at Slade. He cross-blocked it, then rammed his other sword into the face of the man coming from his left. He spun around the halbierd man, stabbing him in the back. The other two men came at him from the front, swing at his sides. He blocked both attacks, spun his swords so they swung down and knocked their swords into the floor, then cut both of their heads off.
Well, that was easy enough. Slade sheated his swords. Suddenly he was thrust into the air, and he felt like someone was crushing his throat. As he was gasping for air, he saw a man holding a knarled wooden staff. The bartender was stading next to him.
"I don't like people messing up my bar. And the city of Vane has strict laws against senseless violence. So, my sorceror friend here is going to escort you out of the city. If you try to come back in, you will die."
The sorceror took Slade outside the tavern, down a few blocks to the city limits, the hurled him out into the air. Slade flew for 20 yards before he came crashing down to the ground.
AH! Damn it! Man, that hurt. Damn Vane. They all think their high and mighty, but they'll be brought down eventually. Cities always are. Well, now where am I supposed to go. Looks like its another night in the wild for me. Slade picked up his stuff and began walking away from the city.
