Requiem smiles again, and Kastuma lifts his sword in both hands, yelling as he slashes at Lok's right side, forcing him to stumble back.
"The Dark God Zophar intended them to be used as the means to an end. They can discuss all they like. They're still tools."
Kastuma raises his sword and gets into a wide en guarde position. "I don't fall so easy, half-breed."
Requiem smiled broadly, then raises his left hand, controlling the Tartauros Fire, and using the right to conjure more warriors from his Soul Ring.

Lok looked Katsuma up and down.
"With a piss poor stance like that, you're not even worth my time." Lok smirked. He planted his sword in the ground, and threw his hand into the air. A massive, grey wolf formed from the still smoking roof tops of the buildings. It leapt at Katsuma, sure to keep him busy for a bit of time. Lok picked up his sword, and pointed it at Requiem. He put his blade to his right side, and pressed it against the ropes on his body, cutting them. As the ropes fell, and the metal plate rolled off of his shoulder, his right arm was revealed. It's deep red color, and mutated propotions would make any mere man vomit at it's sight. Lok proceeded to put the blade to his face, and cut off his eye patch. A glaring, piercing red eye, cloaked in pure darkness was there in place of an injured eye. Lok began laughing, and threw his head back as his voice deepened, resembling almost Zophars.
"THE DARK LORD HAS CHOSEN ME TO BE HIS CHAMPION. STAND IN MY WAY AND YOU WILL BE CRUSHED."

Kastuma hopped back, his blade working in a vertical circle, the tip clipping the wolf's nose. As metaphysical as it was, the wolf still experienced serious pain from its sensetive nose.
Requiem raised an eyebrow, unimpressed, his sixty-strong army of warriors standing before him.
At about the same time that Lok finished up, the sorceror's Tartauros Fire wrapped around Lok's much smaller body, setting his clothes alight, and beginning to burn at the flesh beneath. The 'fingers' came up like the heads of cobras, ready to strike at the half-breed's head.
"Gods can be thwarted too," Requiem says with a smile, then beckons his Paladin archer, Thaedron, to the fore.
"My lord?" the man in the shining armor asked, his bow at the ready.
"Put a few through his heart."
"Yes, my lord," he said, notching an arrow, uttering a quick prayer, and beginning to pull back on the string, bringing his bow up to aim at the bound half-elf.

Lok could not help, but smile as the sky grew dark, and a storm began. He let the cobras do as they wish, healing himself with the blighted touch. He laughed as a bolt of lightning struck down the archer. A feeling of trouble and foreshadowing came down upon the field. The voice of Zophar himself began to speak.
Requiem. Do not kill Lok. You could not kill him with your possessed scum anyway. If you do any sort of harm to him, I shall strip you of all of your physical senses. He is my champion as of now. Your turn shall come, my servant. I assure you. But this one's hatred burns so intense and sudden I fear I may lose him if he is not to act quickly. So heed my words, lest you wish to suffer the consuquences.
Lok looked at Requiem with a cold stare, his eye and voice returning to norm.
"Lord Zophar commands it. I will not live for long. I am aware of that. He will use my power to the full extent to harm Althena. And I swear to you I will. I can do much more than you think of me." Lok said numbly.

((Ai I think you may have missed my last post with Mablung, or I missed your response, he went across the bridge and is looking around for the next challenge if you don't want to go back and look.))
Silver Fang awoke in shackles. He grunted and snorted as he struggled to get free.
"Struggle not, for those chains were made by demons in the firey pits of hell itself uponst the hell forge."
A man appeared shadowy. He did not look like a normal man though. His face was pale almost as if it was transluncent. His eyes were gray and his pupils seemed to glow red with the hell fires burning in them. He had a long white mustache and a head of white hair. Two ivory white fangs protruded from his crimson red lips. It seemed there was few areas of colour on him at all. He wore ornate purple and red robes that seemed to be from days long past.
"You have caused my kin quite some trouble. Your people will be added to our strength, soon our force will be strong enough for the great conflict. However, since you eliminated my two strongest rivals on this mountain I will reward you. My name is Nobias Yurikov. I am a vampire and the head of all enclaves in these dark mountains. For centuries we have ruled the night in these parts preying on the villages scattered throughout and roaming nomadic tribes such as yourselves."
"So your finally going to fight with honour, blood drinker?"
"Hardly, we will assail the strongholds at the bases of the mountain soon enough, but our force lies within the city as well. For you see, though this mountain tribe of vampires is more primal and posseses greater strength, we have evolved. Many now reside as normal people during the daylight in cities and only transform into vampire beasts at night or remain human looking. Now that I've told you, tell me where is your elf friend, I should very much like to meet with a warrior who dispatched my bretherien with such ease."
"I know not only that he is finding a great power, and when he returns with it he will fulfill his oath to aid us in routing your kind from these lands."
"A dragon perhaps, he will find difficulty with that.
He laughed loudly.

(( Ah, sorry, I missed that. Thanks for telling me.))
"Your faith in Althena is steady as a rock. You are truly good." The voice of the Dragon bellowed.
"But faith alone is not enough. Neither is power. No, the true staple which holds the dragon master's power is his soul. I shall look into your soul now, and determine if you are pure enough to become the Dragon Master." The dragon said. In a bright flash of light, Mablung fell to his knees, and fell unconciuous. As he floated in his subconciousness, the dragon spoke to him.
"Your past is full of grief and pain...You have no hesitation to kill. You truly do wish to become a Dragon Master for the greater good." The dragon said.
"However...Your pain and hatred in your life makes you unsteady. I'm sorry, Mablung, but you cannot be relied upon. Steady your faith and your mind. Release your inner demons. Then come back." finished the dragon. With another flash of bright light, Mablugn was returned to his body. The cavern entrance to the dragon was blocked, and a set of stairs leading to where he had come in appeared.
"Althena smiles upon you. Lose not hope."

( Don't worry about it, Ai. You've got your hands full. ^^ )
Aurora gave a small laugh as she sat beside a tree. "As good as forgotten."
We're on an even standing now. I guess everyone has something to hide. She seems very intelligent. I wonder why she'd want to skip class...
Her thoughts were interrupted as she swallowed and found her throat to be as dry as a dragon's scales. She dug into her bag, found her leather skin of water and took a long gulp from it.
Aurora looked up to find Erin's questioning face. She blinked and then realized, with a jolt, that she was once again forgetting her manners.
"Thirsty?" she inquired, holding the skin out to Erin.

Mablung nods understandingly and heads back off. He looked on the horizon noticing the tracks of Silver Fang at the bottom of the mountain. He then vanished.
"Vampires, my oath must be fulfilled before I continue my quest."
He headed over the rocky passes towards the Vampire lair it twas not far from here. His sword drawn he headed towards the door while daylight was still upon him. Three vampire guards moved forward to assail him and were struck down in a flash the holy flame in his sword burned bright still with some of the fires from the temple in his sword. He took the keys and openned the liar and issued forth a challenge. Time to start trying to expunge the demons within. He knew it would be much work but this is a start.
"The head of this enclave I challenge to a battle under the full moon. If I win, your enclave will be spared if your people agree to feed only on wild animal blood. If you win, drain my blood in these people's place. It is undoubtedly much stronger and has no taste of beast, which I am told your kind despise."
A voice bellowed forth from the doors.
Came without the dragon, pity, I was looking forward to killing it. Very well, your luck against the Flame and Web will not avvail you from my wrath. I accept your challenge under the full moon.
"Then we shall meet at your gates."
Mablung sat at the gates waiting in meditation till the time had come. He arose as he felt a cold storm brewing around him and a being took physical shape, Nobias stood in front of him. Mablung unsheathed his sword and unwrapped his sceptre. Nobias stepped back raising his hands in front of his face in fear of the great light. He then chanted and storms gathered around him. Mablung's aura felt a great unease. One blow of the wind knocked the sceptre from his hand cutting one of them. He jumped back bringing his sword to break another. He said an incantation slowly forming a mist around him. Now neither was visible and neither able to pinpoint exactly the other.
Nobias suddenly grabbed Mablung holding him in the air and slowly beginning to crack his back. With all the might he had Mablung put his sword back into the wound he had given himself earlier when entering the flame. His body aglow with the holy flame charred the hands of the vampire and it screamed.
"Damn Althena's flame to hell!"
Mablung laughed and charged forward swinging twice nobias dodged it twice and laughed.
"Unfortunately you underestimate me."
He raised his hand and bloody from the wound on Mablung began to pour forth. Mablung began to fall to the ground as a the vampire grew in power. He changed from human form into a half bat beast form of large proportions. His body cackled with unworldly energies. Indeed he was a sight to be feared.
"Feel my power, I am one of the original seregrauku as your kind call our species. Indeed I remember the day our host assailed you, I was one of the commanders, your house was slaughtered. A great day for my kind, as I remember your grandfather's blood got us a killer hangover, a complete glutton."
He looked into Mablung's eyes.
"Yes feel the fear and hatred of us, it gives me such a rush."
"I fear you not scum."
"You should."
Nobias rushed forward picking up the warrior throwing him in the air about 10 meters. He then jumped up punching him alternatively from the groin to the chest approximately 200 times before he hit the ground breaking Mablung's body.
"Althena give me strength, I cannot contain this evil. I will die if I must, if that is my task to fulfill this oath. But I fear for the world if I cannot stop this beast."
The goddess's shadow appeared before him.
"You must forget the past, if you forget it and look towards the future, the glory to come you will have the strength."
His families sceptre appeared before him. He took it but did not comprehend.
"You must let go!"
The vampire rushed forward again kicking him into the air then clawing him across the face and then punching him in the ribs sending his ribs into one of his lungs.
He looked into the moonlight, he saw his father riding off in one direction with him on the horse behind taking him to the halls of warriors. He then looked behind and saw the south burning. He nodded and understood. Forcing the sceptre upon the ground he broke it shattering the last hierloom of his family. The light released brightened the entire mountain side and the Nobias began to burn aglow. His spirit subsided and those who he made vampire became human. The chains of the beast men were broken and the enclave gone. Silver Fang went over to Mablung to find him broken and approaching death.
He gave his friend his herbs and potions then carried him.
"We head to Larn. We owe this paladin a debt."
His people nodded.
"Wait, we ask if you would, that you show us the way."
It was the group of humans who had just been vampires. The shaman nodded agreeably and they headed down the hill.

Requiem, though blind, turned to look back at the smoking armored skeleton of one of his more valuable slaves. Thaedron was a loss.
He stepped out in front of his warriors, who were beginning to unnerve. The hand lowered itself and the half-breed down to look him in the face, if not the eyes.
"Harming the Goddess. Feh. You lack scope," he said disdainfully. "Better to let her live, removed from her power. Far better. Let her live in a world no longer hers, as a mortal."
The blind sorceror smiled darkly. "You want to be the Fiend Master. Heh...simple little boy. I want to be the one who will rewrite this entire world."
The Tartauros Fire hand released the half-elf, Kastuma coming to Requiem's side, his sword slightly raised. The fire itself hung in the air over him, then returned to the buildings, beginning to eat away at them again.
Requiem raised his ring, the fifty-nine warriors behind him drawing themselves back into the black diamond inside.
The sorceror lowered his hand. "Gods can be thwarted too."

Lok shook his head, and walked towards the Cave of Wind.
"I don't give a damn what you do. I just need to exact my revenge."

<OOC: Can we get a time frame here? It's hard to judge, and everyone seems to be a little different.>
Manae looked over at the tall, rapier-man. What was it about him that wouldn't get out of his mind. Well, whatever it was, he'd deal with it like verything else that ate at him. He ordered up another bottle of something strong.

Requiem raised an eyebrow, watching Lok pass.
"Idiot," he muttered.
"I quite agree," Kastuma echoed, his sword meeting his sheath again.
The elf looked at the sorceror. "So why are we following him, then?"
Requiem smiled secretively, then raised his ring, drawing Kastuma back inside. "You worry too much," he said, then turned and began to follow Lok towards the Cave of Wind as well.

Mablung awoke two days later in the city of Larn in the temple. He took in the ocean air as he openned his eyes into the white ornate room. Silver Fang, the High Priestess of the temple, and a dark haired woman strikingly beautiful for a human stood over him watching.
"Hir Mablung Ïauergar they call you welcome back to the Port of Larn."
Mablung took another deep breath.
"How long was I asleep."
"Two days, we arrived late last night."
Silver Fang spoke obviously pleased at the elf's recovery. Now that you are awake we will prepare our leave from these parts.
"Wait Silver Fang, your people are weak from there fight with the blood demons. It will take a force of arms many times greater than what you have to retake your ancestral homeland I am guessing. With the beasts routed here, why don't you make a new homeland in the mountains overtop Larn and help guard the port. It the days to come its haven's may be needed to quickly ferry our host here up and down the continent as well as the islands northwest of the continent."
Silver Fang thought for a moment.
"The demons of the mountains strength has indeed weakened and its mountains are plentiful with game and lumber. If the city will permit it we will stay in the mountains and our strength will be added to theirs."
"Shaman Fang, if I may, my people would like to stay with you as well."
This was the first time the human woman spoke, Mablung raised an eyebrow."
"And you are."
"Reana Duelen, I am the leader of my family, we were the servants of the Vampire Lord, Nobias Yurikov."
"And how is it that you stand before me now?"
"The spell was broken Hir-Mablung the power of the light from your scepter expunged the evil taint of the Dark Lord."
"That is very good to hear."
Mablung stood and felt a sharp stiffness.
"Your wounds have healed, but your blood has not yet returned to its full potency. I must say though, Silver Fang's healing abilities are truly remarkable."
The priestess said. She then waved her hand and a roast chicken as well as some fruits and pitcher of wine with a golden goblet was brought in.
"Eat for you shall be replenished."
The three then left leaving Mablung to his thoughts.

Erin smiled at Aurora and nodded. She was parched. Grabbing the waterskin, and taking a large drink, she let out a heavy breath, and handed it back.
"Certainly beats teachers boring on and on, hmm?"
