*Gibraltar.*
*Night.*
*The light of the moon flickers off the waters of both the cold Atlantic and the loving Mediterranean, the city on the small triangular peninsula of Gibraltar lit with a thousand little lights and flickering with a life all its own. Gibraltar is the nexus to many worlds...Europe and Africa...the Atlantic and the Mediterraenean...life and death...*
*Aries, already on the field and underneath the water of the Pass of Gibraltar, sleeps inside his Mobile Suit's cockpit, waiting patiently for his target to arrive.*

Gibraltar is the nexus to many worlds...Europe and Africa...the Atlantic and the Mediterraenean...life and death...* *Aries, already on the field and underneath the water of the Pass of Gibraltar, sleeps inside his Mobile Suit's cockpit, waiting patiently for his target to arrive.* Within the town, one of the smallish wooden storage building begins to collapse, sending out a plume of dust throughout the streets, blinding anyone from the large figure rising in what was the storage building.
As the dust settles, a tall and large figure can be seen to be rising. However, what the figure is cannot be detirmined, that was, until a pair of green eyes glowed a strong green on what appeared to be the head of the figure before fading.
It was soon apparant that this MS was a Gundam. Specifically the GAU-X201 Defiance Gundam, equipped with the Atmospheric core fighter. It also weilded a 100mm Machinegun in it's right hand, with the shield firmly locked onto the left forearm.
Inside the Defiance's cockpit Steel was making final preperations for the oncoming conflict. He went through the main systems, ticking them off on his check list while flicking switches on.

*Inside his Mobile Suit, Aries's gray eyes slowly unlidded, fixing on the screens before him before trailing down to his sensor boards.*
*He was at one of the deeper points of Gibraltar, and had already been forced to dodge a couple of larger ships that had almost run him over. His systems were still warm, making him detectable at least, but his depth, in addition to his not being mobile at the moment, made little more than his position avaliable. That, and the water would act as something of a shield for him. Standard slug-firing weapons were almost totally inaccurate, the slugs slown down by the thickness of the water. Beams would have less trouble, but trouble all the same, as they cooked off the water around them. Missiles wouldn't have much of the prior two's troubles at all.*
*Given those physics, he perfectly intended to stay underwater.*
*He smiled, then started stretching a little, already knowing that his adversary was here.*

He was starting to get bored of waiting for Aries to show up. But he kept the Defiance stationary, hidden in the still settling dust cloud."I'm here Mr.Aries. Now show yourself..." He said out loud, getting impatient.

*Aries looked upwards, then lowered his goggles over his eyes. He shrugged, chuckled, then reached for his sticks.*
This was your idea, loser. Do a full sweep on the Pass. You'll get it.
*He starts bringing the systems he had on standby online.*

Steel chuckled as he pin-pointed the exact location of Aries' suit, thanks to the transmission."Now, what to do with you is up to how you behave in this battle, Mr.Aries. But extermination of you will occur!"

<NEWS FLASH! You can't pinpoint him thanks to that transmission. That would require signal triangulation. That requires satalites, or at least reflection off towers. The Menovsky Effect would fudge up calculations even if you did have all that, not to mention it takes a bit of time to analyze the data. Water would further hinder.
To be analytical, you can assume he's somewhat near the center of his heat signiture in the water, but that'll still be a rough guess, all be it less rough than using his transmission if you had the time to use it.
News flash out.>

Because no beam weapons have been fired, and nothing has been spreading the particles yet, meaning radio transmissions are fine for the time being. It's only when beams start to fly is when the Minovisky particles start building up, or if they're spread by something the size of a MA. Also, WTF was the point of you coming into this like that? Did someone call you in or not? If not, then stay the fuck outta my battle with Aries! But if I also can't pinpoint Aries, then he can't pinpoint me because of what you just said too! Satalites would also be available, plus we're talking about GUNDAM HERE! Not today's technology! Ugh...

(OOC: ARIES...MOD MODE...)
(Actually, he's absolutely right, y'moron, and he has every place to bring that up. In fact, Aries thinks it's really good of him to read a battle he's not involved in, despite the fact that he's not a moderator, and Aries bows before him for that. So shut up, Steel.)
(Yes, you're right, Minovsky particles have not been spread yet, but Manae is also right, in that you can't triangulate Aries's position. Aries did give away his position in telling you to do a sweep of the Pass, though, and you would have to do a scan before you'd even have an idea of where Aries is based on his heat signature.)
(And that is one of the lamest lines Aries has ever heard.)
(ARIES...MOD MODE OFF...)

*The young man simply rolled his gray eyes.*
Yeah, what the fuck ever, loser. Just come and get some.
*In the torrent of warm Mediterranaen water and cold Atlantic water, a monoeye flashes.*

But one thing, SOMEONE BETTER VOUCH FOR ME! No one ever helped me here apart from Retal... Plus, I've noticed great angst towards me, Aries, specifically, from you.IC: Steel notices a very faint glow from the waters which quickly faded. It was either a sub or something to do with the coast-gaurd, or, Aries and obviously one of his many mono-eyed suits.

<Don't take it personally, Steel. You just tend to make more need-to-be-corrected mistakes than most others. As I've sorta said in the past, before making a move, look at the broader picture, not just "this is possible somehow, so I can do it" like this one here. For anything that isn't a small thrust or an easy attack, take a few minutes to think analytically about it. It'll come to you.
And remember you aren't the only one who needs to be corrected. Speaking of which, after brooding on it for a bit and having a bit of a lengthy discussion on the subject, I'm off to shoot down Draco elsewhere.>

OOC: Aye, okay. I remember what I was pissed off about now, was that I couldn't get Eve (the MMORPG) to install. Got it sorted late last night. *Aries finishes warming and priming his suit, then sits back and folds his arms over his chest, waiting for Steel to make splashdown.* Come on...you know you want it... "Must resist urge...." Richard said to himself as, for he knew that his thrusters do not work underwater well if at all.

*He grins broadly.* Aries can pack up and go home right noooow... "If you leave, that will mean instant victory for me. Do you wish to earn the title 'little Aries ran from Defiance & Steel'?"
