Aries looked upwards as the bazooka rounds hit the water, most of their momentum shying off as they slapped with full force against the surface, slowing right in front of his eyes.
Still, those eyes went wide as he saw them, and the odd memory of old war footage of a German U-Boat being depth charged flashed through his head.
"Crap," he hissed, then grabbed his sticks, turning the Hygogg about, then hitting his throttle and rocketing away from the rounds at about 98 knots, as they began to go off behind him.
The distance widened too quickly before the pulse waves could touch him.
Aries pulls Sicklefingers to a halt, spinning it about, its claws out.
"Huh...he's gotten slightly smarter about this..."

The White Bazooka itself would soon appear to drift down from above Aries, as Steel had hurled it away towards Aries, as he saw no real reason to keep it anymore.
As the Bazooka drifted down, above the water, Steel made sure the shield was mounted on the left forearm before withdrawing both Penetrator Rifles, one in either hand of the Gundam. He then sped off towards Aries' position once again, ready to use the shield if need be.

Aries looks up, the long claws of Sicklefingers beginning to glow red again.
"Alright...c'mon..."

Aries looks up, the long claws of Sicklefingers beginning to glow red again. "Alright...c'mon..." "As you wish!" Steel yelled as he combined the Penetrator Rifles to form the Avenger mode. He made sure the shield was covering the torso, with the Avenger rifle in the right hand.
Then the nozzles of the combined rifles began to glow as the particles collected. Very soon, a wide and large beam was spat out of the rifles, engulfing the surrounding area where the SickleFingers was.
As soon as the shot was fired, Steel began randomly straffing the Defiance while prepping for another shot."You may have an underwater suit, and be underwater, but water also transmits huge amounts of heat very well.... time to cook a lobster!"

And at that moment, fired upwards by means of its rocket thrusters, still alive due to careful maneuvering, and right in the exact position it needs to be due to Aries's careful watching of the shadows on the surface of the water above him, the Defiance's thermals clouded due to the sheer amount of heat Steel put into the water, Sicklefingers rose, both of its claws lashing out and grabbing the Gundam's feet. The red fingers sank into the metal, slowly beginning to sever hydraulics and superstructure. The Gundam itself kept flying due to its thrusters still being active, but with an extra ninety tons hanging onto it, it was a wonder it didn't crash into the water immediately, though its altitude dropped sharply and kept decreasing.
Eventually, the Hygogg's feet began to skim the water.
Aries's eyes narrowed, as he pulled his suit's torso up to line its torpedo launchers up with the rest of the Gundam, knowing that he was in possibly one of the best positions to be in, because Steel didn't have a shot he could get to easily and had no chance of defending himself from.
"Aries prefers shrimp."
He quickly recalibrated his torpedoes to fire their rockets immediately out of the tubes, making them more akin to rockets, then hit his triggers, two pulsing out and firing immediately to cross the short distance between the Hygogg and the Gundam's upskirt.

OOC: Aries, how would you expect to see me? Firstly, your visual sensors would kinda be... cooking right now, as they're the most suseptable to temperature damage. Damage would be inflicted, as water transmits heat very well, and even if it isn't that much, it would still damage your sensors, and, to top it off, I would likely be covered in steam, hiding myself as I straff. ...and if you think you escaped it, you cannot. Remember, I said ENGULF the area where you were/are. That would mean that you would get caught in the heat blast no matter what, but how much got caught is something I am not entirely sure of.

:::MOD ACTION:::
Steel, water evaporates at 212 degrees farenhiet. The water you are heating up would still remain fairly cool for the most part, not because your beams cannot heat the water, but more because of the large body of water there is. Your beam would evaporate the water that it pierced through, creating steam and bubbles rising up, but the water would rush in to replace it, and considering the other water around to cool it, the temperature of the area would probably get no warmer than 140-180 degrees in the situation.
As for his visual sensors, they are designed not to crush or malfunction under the pressure of the water, I'm sure that a little heat wouldn't do too much. The steam hiding your position would work to a certain extent, too. You must be putting out a lot if you're hovering over the water, in which it would be represented as a glow from the thrusters in your legs along with any other thrusters active to keep you aloft. The light would be visible through the steam, same way you can still see other car's headlights when driving through the rain. And by chance, you'd have a hard time seeing him, being that the light energy being emitted by your thrusters would act as "hi-beams" in the fog, making it harder to see because more steam is being illuminated.

(Co-Mod Action: Regardless, you're in a primarily white suit, in the dark, with the moon out, WITH a city nearby. Whether or not your thrusters don't give off any light, you stand out like a sore thumb against the mostly dark water, the mostly dark sky, and the mostly dark land. You'd still get glare off your big fat white head AND the light of the moon. Aries knows, he didn't think of the moon in the first place here, let's just say it's three-quarters full, ne? Yes, you would have a helluva time trying to see through the water. Ever tried looking through seawater at the dead of night? It does appear quite black from the surface down...)
(The inverse is not true.)

(The inverse is not true.) You're forgetting that I'm also within alot of steam right now from firing at the water. So really, I'd be masked by the steam, and my straffing would also make it near impossible for you to get at me like you did.

Correct me if I'm wrong, folks... but how thick is that steam, really? It has already been determined that the body of water is large enough to cool the area that has been heated. Thick steam will indeed come out of the surface, but the question is how long will that steam last? Long enough to cover Steel throughout his whole 'gun and run' move, or will the steam start to dissipate enough to leave a light 'shadow' on the surface, as Aries had posted? Also, with Steel strafing the surface, can one assume that the distance between the MS' feet and the water itself leave enough of a shadow for Aries to follow, with or without steam?
