Lunar: The Era of Masters In the world of Lunar, the Goddess Althena reigns supreme. She brought the humans and every other race and animal from the Blue Star, and brought life to the once barren Lunar. The people revered her as the supreme being, and worshipped her. But the land was not all good, and full of life. There was a large portion of the planet which was barren and dead, known as the frontier. It was here that the forsaken race of the Vile Tribe, a group of demons and creatures, lived ever since Althena banished them for acts of treason and evil. This compelled them to despise Althena, and want to attack her, yet never being strong enough to. However, by no means was Althena immortal, or invulnerable. She created 4 other powerful beings, the dragons, as guardians and protectors of her and her people. And with the dragons, was born the first Dragon Master, the man whom controlled the full power of all 4 of the dragons, white, blue, red, and black. Armed with their power, their blessings, and the sword of Althena, he was the protector of the world. But because he was human, he would pass away, and soon, another would take his place. All was well on Lunar, until one Dragon Master, and his closest friend, came into direct contact with the Goddess Althena. In that event, the Dragon Master died, and his friend began to despise Althena, and the human race. He eventually grew so powerful, he nearly conquered the world, and almost eradicated all life on Lunar. But one boy of only 15 years old, stood up and took the title of Dragon Master, and laid waste to this fiend. That was 30 years ago. Over the past 10 years, the Vile Tribe, have begun to mingle and mix with the human race, forming an underground society worshipping the epitome of evil, the Dark God Zophar. He above all, even Ghaleon, the one who nearly destroyed all life on Lunar, despises Althena. He created 4 copies of the Dragons, known as Dragon Fiends, which were deformed dragons with evil intent. Along with the 4 fiends was born the Fiend Master, a truly wicked being whose hatred for Althena fueled his power. It is rumored that the Fiend Master, who is currently missing, is forming an army with which to strike down the humans who inhabit the lush land of Lunar. There has been no Dragon Master since the young boy sacraficed his power for the woman he loved. The world of Lunar cries for a master to protect it from the oncoming scourge of hatred and death. Who shall rise to the challenge? ------------- Classes: There are 3 basic classes which characters can proffess in. By no means is it a restriction, simply a guide-line for what their capabilities are, so you could be a Black/White magic caster, a Battle/mage, or a Battle/Healer. Warrior: Basic fighting class. Healer: Healing/White magic caster class. Magi: Offensive/Black magic caster class. ------------- Races: In the land of Lunar, there are 4 races of humanoid, intelligent, beings. Humans: The primary race, they make up about 75% of the world's inhabitants. They are the most well rounded out race, good for any occupation. Elves: Elves are a much lesser known race. They make up only about 2% of the world's inhabitants, but are without a doubt, the most intelligent, and fairest of all. They make weak warriors, decent healers, and greater offensive casters. Beast-Men: Beast-men are hearty, tough, and fearless beings who make up only 3% of Lunar's population. They make magnificent warriors, and pathetic magic users, be it White or Black. Vile Tribe: The Vile Tribe are race of demons who rebelled against Althena, resulting in their banishment to the Frontier. They are as rounded out as the humans, but have very short life spans. In compensation for this, whatever they may profess in is made more powerful than any other race. Inbreeding between races is acceptable, and rather than post a list of traits for each type of hybrids, I suggest you use your best judgment. For example, a mixture of Elf and Beast-Man will result in almost human traits. ------------- Magic: Casters may have up to 6 spells, White and Black users. Warriors can have a maximum of two, weapon related spells. Hybrid Warriors/Casters can have 4 spells, but of limited strength. The same goes for Magi/Healers, who may have 7 spells, but weaker than a full Magi or Healer. Exceptions will be made for powerful, yet hidden spells. ------------- Welcome to the Lunar RPG concocted by my brain last night before passing out. Like all RPGs, there're some goals you can attain, but then again, you can do whatever the hell you want. If you want to become a Dragon or Fiend Master, feel free, but you're restricted to the prerequisets. For now, just create some characters until I can find a good map. Character creation is as follows: Name:Gender:Age:Race: (There are four primary races to choose from. Humans, Elves, Beast-Men, and the Vile Tribe.) Basic Class: (Warrior, Healer, Magi.) Alignment: (Must be Lawful Good to be a Dragon Master, and Chaotic Evil to be a Fiend Master. Choose from Lawful Good, Neutral Good, Chaotic Good, Neutral, Lawful Evil, Neutral Evil, and Chaotic Evil. You know the drill.) Description: (How your character looks.) Equipment:Spells:Bio:**Note** You'll be allowed a maximum of 2 characters, feel free to use them together, or against each other, whatever suits you. At the GM's permission, you may be given a pet baby Dragon, for example, Ruby or Nall. Only 4 will be given out, and probably only to in depth characters, and candidates for Dragon Masters. Updated with races and classes. Really only basic stuff, I don't want anyone to be restricted to what their character "sheet" says. Here's an example character (Who isn't just an example, he'll play a main role in the game.). Name: Lok Gender: Male Age: 25 Race: Elf/Human Basic Class: Magi/Warrior Alignment: Neutral Evil / Chaotic Evil Description: He usually covers up with a full coat over the clothing shown. Equipment: Basic clothing, with a layer of scale maile under his normal clothing, a steel plate covering his amputated right arm, and a hand and a half sword. Magic: Blade Pillar: Lok dashes into a group of enemies and lays waste to them in a blur of his sword. Wolf Familiar: Lok summons a Grey Wolf spirit to aid him in his battle. Lasts for a limited time. Ancestral Spirit: With this spell, Lok enchants himself to be twice as strong, fast, and aware. Lasts only for 15 minutes. Blighted Health: Using the powers of the darkness, he heals his wounds. HAs interestign side effects... Bio: Lok is the son of a great wizard from the Elven tribe known as the Grey Wolves, which lives in the fields of the Stadius Area, rather close to the Frontier. His mother was a human warrior from the Pao Tribe. When he was born, he was given to the father. Even though the tribe he was born into was primarily magic casting, he grew up a warrior at heart. He did, however, excel in magic later in his life, at about age 17 or so. But by then he had lost his right eye, and received most of the scars on his face. At the age of 20, The Pao tribe and the Grey Wolf tribe got into a vicious war, in which Lok lost his arm, by his mother. In return, before losing consciousness, he killed her without knowing she was his mother. Afterwards, the news was told to him, that he had lost both of his parents in the fued. Enraged at the stupidity of both races, he left to travel on his own. He just recently has crossed into the frontier, in hopes of finding something better for his life, yet he still has the plant of hatred in his soul.

Name: Seris Gender: Male Age: 20 Race: Human Basic Class: Warrior Alignment: Lawful Good Description: Bit on the tall side with a somewhat lanky build, which is quite deceptive of his underlying strength. He has red hair kept tied back with a bandanna and green eyes. His skin is unusually pale for someone who travels as much as he does. He normally wears his leather armor over a light gray tunic, black pants and leather boots. He keeps his glaive behind his back and his daggers hidden under his bracers. Equipment: Glaive, twin daggers, leather armor. Basic clothing Spells: Whirlwind Blade: (req. equip, glaive or daggers) Seris spins around at near-impossible speeds in this technique, dashing into enemy lines and hitting multiple foes in one pass. However, he is left slightly 'off balance' for a moment immediately after using this technique, and is momentarily open to attack.
Power Strike: (req equip, glaive) Simple technique. Seris infuses his glaive's blade with some of his untrained magical energy, before swinging it into one opponent with enough force to kill many lesser foes. Other than the drain on his power reserves, this skill has no drawbacks.
Bio: Seris was born and raised in Meribia, a city that had seen much change in its time. It had grown even larger in the years since the defeat of Ghaleon. Seris's family was poor, and he had a rough childhood as a result. Spending much of his time on the streets in the poorer areas, he became a very proficient fighter at a young age. When he was 14, he was struck with wanderlust and left his home, setting out into the world.
At first the going was hard, but with the help of an old warrior, he became stronger. This warrior also infused in him a sense of purpose and good, things he had lacked in his younger days. After traveling together for a few years, he and the old warrior parted ways, but not before he was given his glaive, a weapon he still carries into battle to this day.
Currently, he simply wanders the land, helping out where he can and bringing would be villains to justice.

Name: Aurora Gender: Female Age: 17 Race: Elven Basic Class: Magi/Healer Alignment: Neutral Good Description: Equipment: She wears an enchanted gown, stitched with golden threads, made of light material that is surprisingly weather-resistant. Aurora also carries a staff made of crystal, which was given to her by her father when she reached the top of her class at the magic school. Spells: Kiss of Life - Restores a bit of health for all allies. Kiss of Destruction - Damages foes with the power of light. Starts off fairly weak, but can become more powerful. Rage - Aurora automatically enters Rage when she's low on health. It lasts only a while, but during this time she has access to much more powerful magic. Divine Judgement - Aurora summons a diety to inflict damage on enemies. The damage is randomly cast - it could be status abnormalities or damage. Martyr - Aurora gives most of her remaining health to injure enemies. After this spell she becomes extremely weak, often passing out. Bio: Aurora is a very gentle young lady who was abandoned at birth by her parents because of her strange powers. Though she has the power of healing, she also possesses far deadlier magic. Her memories have been sealed with powerful magic by her adopted father, who lives in the now-restored floating city of Vane, to shield her from the pain they would surely bring her. Though her training in the magic school of Vane is still incomplete, she's now of age to question who she is and is about to set out on a journey to fully understand her powers.

Name: Kal Gender: Male Age: 17 Race: Human Basic Class: Warrior Alignment: Chaotic Good Description: Somewhat tall with a not to outwardly muscular build. Skinny with messy dark brown hair and blue eyes. Wears a brown cloak over his leather armor chestplate, dark colored pants and shirt and weapons.
Equipment: Leather armor, twin longknives, quarterstaff.
Spells: Heal- Heals minor wounds
Glowing blades- Makes his blades glow. Very useful in the dark.
Speed: Makes Kal faster than he would normally be. Doesn't last long.
(The following probably won't be used for a while, and if you have any problems with it, Ai, then we can talk it over.)
Phoenix: Not a spell, but a condition that sometimes shows up. In lower levels, Kal glows with flame, and as the power level grows, he becomes engulfed in it, eventually it takes the form of a bird. When this is in effect Kal can launch fireballs, hover, and is much stronger and faster than he would normally be. This form burns out Kal's energy very quickly, and he will be unconcious by the end of it. Kal has no idea he can do this, and to this date it has not happened once.
Bio:
Kal was left in a forrest by his parents for reasons he does not know to this day. Luckally, he was found by a man who lived there. The man brought him up as his own, teaching him how to fight with speed and agility, and not to rely on weapons alone. As the man was older when he found Kal, he eventually died, leaving Kal on his own with only a necklace to remember him by. Since then Kal has been traveling with no end in sight.

Name: Requiem Innovatia Gender: Male Age: 29 Race: Human Basic Class: Magi Alignment: Chaotic Evil Description: A totally blind, bald evil human Magi, who looks very ambitious and always in control despite his inability to see. He generally wears a black blindfold over his ruined eyes, a dark gray over-robe inscribed with heretical symbols, and an amulet of the secret cult of Zophar. Equipment: Basic clothing, Heirophant's Robe, blindfold, Zophar's Skull Amulet, Soul Ring. Spells:
Raise Enslaved Soul: Brings an enslaved soul into mortal form to fight an enemy. The skill of a Raised Enslaved Soul depends on who he or she was in life. Enslaved Souls must obey the commands of their Imprisoner, and add to His power. Though there have been stories of an Imprisoner being overwhelmed by his own Enslaved Souls, most Imprisoners place multiple spells and curses on their Soul Rings to prevent such from happening.
Soul Capture: Draws out the soul of a defeated opponant near death and imprisons them within the Soul Ring. This soul then becomes a Enslaved Soul, adding to the Imprisoner's power, to be risen or consulted at the Imprisoner's will. This skill cannot be used on a conscious and aware opponant. Only in the corridor between Life and Death can the Soul Ring's power ensnare a new slave.
Tartauros Fire: Conjures a fully-manipulable form of dark fire, which can be formed into weapons, solid objects and obstructions, but at the cost of the Sorceror's total concentration. Should the Sorceror's mind slip while in the middle of this spell, it will consume Him entirely.
Nightmare: A psychological spell to work on the deeply-rooted fears of an enemy, this spell can be overridden by total concentration on the part of the target on something else, or the defeat of the spell's noncorporeal manifestations. In the meantime, it can give a Sorceror enough time to escape or attack while the target fights off the effects of the spell.
Shadow Teleport: A quick-escape spell. Shadow Teleport uses the power lying latent in darkness, teleporting the Sorceror from shadow to shadow. This spell can only send the Sorceror between shadows, even the shadow produced by the Sorceror Himself. It is not effective over long distances or in the face of very bright light, as the power in the darkness is thereby diminished. The more shadows about the Sorceror, the easier a Shadow Teleport can be executed.
Bio: Nobody knows from where the blind sorceror Requiem Innovatia came, not even the secret heretical Cult of Zophar to which he belongs. Such is disconcerting to many, at the very least.
Requiem Innovatia is a fully human Adept of Zophar, a very odd sight inside the cult, where most of the followers are of the Vile Tribe. Requiem is, first, foremost, and always, a scholar, pulled deep into the most blasphemous of the Dark Arts, one of the greatest failures of the Magic School at the floating city of Vane, despite the fact that he graduated near the top of his class.
He was obviously schooled at Vane, indicating that his parents were of some importance, but this is unconfirmed. Requiem has never spoken of his birth or childhood, nor how he lost his eyes. He is a member of the Cult of Zophar, one of its greatest magic users, and a rising member of the cult's hierarchy.
As well as his blindness and his power, something easily discernable about Requiem Innovatia is his ambition. Requiem's goals are his own, and he will strike against enemy and friend alike in order to attain them.
One of the most important and dangerous facets of Requiem's power is his ability to enslave and raise souls. Though not a Necromancer, he can draw out the soul of a defeated opponant into the focusing black diamond of his Soul Ring. Bearers of this ring are called 'Imprisoners', and are a very select and closely-guarded group of Magi and Healers, generally leaning towards Chaos and Evil. It is unclear if Requiem was willingly admitted into the Imprisoners' Circle, but very unlikely.
Requiem thinks nothing of murder for power, and is very, very hungry for power. He is feared to outstanding popularity amongst the Vile Tribe constituency of the Cult of Zophar, and very popular amongst the human followers.

Name: Rawanuk, Keeper of the Black Flame Gender: Male Age: 32 Race: Vile Tribe Basic Class: Magi Alignment: Chaotic Evil Description: Except with legs in place of roots. Yes that is a mask. He seldom removes the mask except for the darkest rituals. Equipment: Spell components; Sacrificial Dagger; Mask; Ritual Cloak; Mask; Spells: Lit- A powerful Dark Magic Attack in Rawanuk's arsenal. It is performed by concentrating Dark Energy into Rawanuk's hands, which is released in a large wave. Has three levels of strength, each drastically stronger than the last. Bolt- A powerful Dark Magic Attack, utalizing dark magic in the form of Black Electrified Magic. By concentrating the high powered energy into his fingers, Rawanuk can fire the high power energy at targets. Has four levels of strength, each drastically stronger than the last. Ritual of the Black Flame- This is one of Rawanuk's more advanced techniques, and is the base for many of Rawanuk's techniques. The Black Flame is a powerful magical force, called forth by Rawanuk. The Flame is rumored to contain immense Dark energies generated from places unknown, perhaps even unknown to Rawanuk. Ritual of Black Resonations- One of the most evil of Rawanuk's rituals, it is used once the power of the Black Flame is summoned forth. Through this spell Rawanuk is able to bring out the dark tendancies of a person's soul. This is what brought into his service the Knight Ashra. Ashra's ritual required direct inductment INTO the Black Flame, though Rawanuk theorizes that he could possibly use the spell by merely cornering off a piece of the flame and channeling it into a crystal, and use the Crystal instead. He has yet to test this. Ritual of the Night's Gate- Another one of Rawanuk's dark rituals, also using the power of the Black Flame. Through the Black Flame, Rawanuk extends its powers and influences to open what he calls "The Night's Gate", a dark hole into perhaps another dimension or realm in this universe. Through here he is able to call forth demons and beasts in small ammount, depending on how much willpower he is able to put forth. Ritual of the Eye (Also known as the Eye of the Black Flame- A powerful ritual using the Black Flame. The cause of this ability is partially unknown to even Rawanuk. Through the Ritual, the flame grows and in the middle of the flame opens a giant eye with a red and Black iris. Those that see the eye is possessed by it, frozen by its fearsome fury. Rawanuk has some control over the eye, and therefor can pupeteer limitly someone ensnared in the eye. The eye cannot be destroyed or defeated in its control (be it by willpower or what), but Rawanuk can be forced to lose concentration and therefor power over the Ritual ending it. Bio: A former High Preist of the Cult of Zophar, he reigned high in its hereirchy and held much power both literally and figurely. Extremely little is known of Rawanuk except of that known by his former masters. His face was a graceful face that conducted the dark spells excellently, and was much aclaimed by the members. Rawanuk began his work into the Dark arts at a young age, looking to increase the power of the Vile Tribe so it could no longer be controlled or defeated by the forces of Athena. However, one day, his face and his body was marred and damaged in an attempted ritual. The dark explosion of dark magic gave birth to the Black Flame, an immense source of Dark Magical energy. As Rawanuk recovered, he began to learn control over this Magical power, learning how to control its force through rituals. He one day developed a technique known as the Ritual of Dark Resonations, able to release and feed the dark tendencies of one's soul. The first being to fall prey to it's power was Ashra, a reknown Knight of a human Kingdom. He attempted to kill Rawanuk, for he had heard of the man's dark tendencies, but was captured. Rawanuk released the Ritual on him, and Ashra became from that point on Rawanuk's servant. Rawanuk soon there after became annoyed with the repitious fooldugery of the cult. He considered them all fools who cared more about Cult politics and leadership then their real goal. Finally one day he and Ashra vanished from the Cult's control, killing several of the Cult's High leaders in the process. Name: Ashra Gender: Male Age: 25 Race: Human Basic Class: Warrior Alignment: Lawful Evil Description: Equipment: Suit of Armor; Soul Crusher the Demon Sword; Bio: Ashra is a former Knight of Althena, a knight of good intentions. He was a strong warrior, and courageous and always just. A series of unfortunate events led him to his current fate, a Dark Knight under Rawanuk. A temple of Althena had been attacked by the Cult of Zophar, all those inside had been slaughtered by the invaders, their blood leeched for demonic practices. Enraged by this butchery, Ashra began tracking down members of the cult, and even killed several powerful dark magic users. One battle was very deadly. He and his Master, a great Knight of much fame, were battling a very powerful Summoner. The summoner summoned forth a Demon spirit to help in combat against the two knights, but the dark fiend was put down by Ashra's master. However, the spirit imbedded into the Master's sword, killing the master in the process. Ashra took his Master sword from then on. Rather than working to remove the demon, he left it in, for its power increased the Sword's, to the point that he could literally destroy the Souls by enabling its deeper powers, hence its name. His will allowed him to conquer the sword. He one day learned of the dark master known as Rawanuk. Seeking to destroy the man, he killed several dark people to get to him. However, he was overwhelmed, and captured. And through a dark ritual, he became Rawanuk's Dark Knight. While he retains much of his original sense of honor, he follows Rawanuk's commands.

Two characters allowed? Hoy... I could get used to this. Name: "Darius" Elrandel Gender: Male Age: 230 Race: Elf Base class: Magi Align: Neutral Good Description: Wears his only visible scar as a badge of shame, a slash over his right eye, going vertically from his forehead to about the middle of his cheek. His outfit is unusual for an elf, but having lived amongst the humans for so long, it has been necessary. He wears a flowing blue robe over a light survival vest, a set of riding breeches and a sturdy elven pair of boots. His pale white skin sometimes looks almost blue by firelight, which would match his powder blue eyes and nearly Navy blue hair, which he keeps cropped fairly short. His trademark item of clothing is a big straw hat he wears everywhere, with slits cut in it so his ears are visible. He is hardly seen without it. He also carries a staff made of Oak from the biggest oldest tree in the town of his birth. He stands 5' 11" tall, and weighs a slim 155 lbs. Equipment: Masterwork Quarterstaff, Shortbow and quiver, Robe of the Magi, Straw Hat, Elven Boots, Magic Bracers, and one large silver ring. Spells: Force Of Nature: Calls upon his surroundings to either attack his foes, or form a defensive wall. Strength depends on the surroundings. Hand of Sol: Blasts a cone of fire from his hands, reach is limited to 20 feet. Walk of Shadow: Turns himself and any others touching him invisible. Lasts about a minute. Fury of the Family: A spell unknown to Darius himself, when he gets close to death, he can call on the power of his ancestors to create a powerful explosion, emanating from himself, and dealing moderate to heavy damage to everything within a 10 foot radius. The spell may leave him drained or even dead. Sheild of Dri'izzt: Creates an orb of force around himself, impenetrable by most weapons. Damage to the orb shortens the time it can be held up. Hand of Gyar: A bolt of lightning blasted either from one hand or both. Damage increases when using both. Accuracy can also be sacrificed for more power. 15-25 ft range. Bio: Born in a place long since forgotten, he was raised by his Uncle, Maresh, in a secluded hut far from the reaches of society. At the age of 1260, his uncle passed away, leaving him, then only 180, alone with nothing but his uncle's hat, robe, ring and staff, all of which he still has, and a small satchel of silver. He spent a good deal of time working as a lackey on a convoy he happened across, and for 40 years traveled with it wandering the realm, until the caravan came under the leadership of one master Dromnor, the caravan leader, and along the way becoming friends with his son, Sid. On his deathbed, Master Dromnor made Darius, who doesn't actually know his real elven first name, promise to look after Sid, who had become a talented white mage. So for ten years, the two have hardly split paths, and have grown to be a formidable force in battle. And now Sid. Name: Sid Dromnor Age: 30 Gender: Male Race: Human Class: Healer/Warrior Align: Neutral Good Description: A healthy, strong guy, who has lived the life of a traveler since his earlyest days. He is fairly smart, wise in the ways of the world, knows how to hunt, how to fight, and also how to drink. His fair white skin doesn't tan easily, and his light blond hair and cloudy blue eyes give him an almost boyish appearance, which is somewhat countered by his stature. He stands an impressive 6'2", and weighs in at about 210 pounds, but for all his muscle, appears very lean. He wears a large white hooded cloak over his regular clothing, which consists of light clothes under a suit of riveted leather protective gear, a standard trader's belt, riding breeches, and a solid pair of climbing boots. He also wears a hat similar to that of his friend, but made of cloth, but only in the rain. Equipment: Quarterstaff, Longsword, Longbow and quiver, 1 longtooth dagger (in his boot), Riveted Leather Armor, Magic Bracers, Cloak of White, Climber's Boots Spells: Healing Grace: Uses holy power to cure anywhere from mild to semi-serious wounds. Works better if done with no distractions. Sign of Power: Blesses himself and his allies to strengthen them, physically and mentally. Pure Trinity: When used properly, can remove diseases and poisons of all sorts, usually just used to treat mild poisonings or purify food. Light of Dromnor: A personally created spell, focuses his holy power into a powerful projectile, effective to around 20 ft before dissapating. Bio: Born a tradesman's 2nd son, at first his life was simple. He spent his first 9 years with his mother while his father was out with his older brother traveling and trading. During a surprise visit home by his brother and father, who had come bearing good tidings of buisness, his home was attacked by bandits, and although the attackers were slain, so too was mother, and for his own protection as much as the fact they had no choice, Sid lived on the road with his father from then on. He befriended a few individuals in his time with the caravan, including a wise old healer who saw in Sid the gifted spark. Over the course of a few years, the old man taught Sid the art of healing, and had helped him realize his capabilities. However, before too long, the old man had passed away, much to Sid's chagrin. Soon after, he befriended one of the guard, an Elven Magi, who was known as Darius. They became better friends, and Sid became more popular with the guard as a whole. Over the course of their travels, some of the guard taught Sid to fight, as well as how to be strong and wise in combat situations. For years more, he traveled with the caravan, until his Father was fatally wounded in a skirmish with some theives, and the caravan went to his older brother. Darius, by Sid's fathers request, accompanied him, and has ever since, becoming more of a mentor and a guide than just a friend. Well, there you have it. Two mages, one player, all the fun you can handle.

Seems pretty good, but your spells are a bit too powerful. The measurements are a big large, and the Mind Breaker spell seems too powerful.
Just think about that stuff, revise it a bit.

Name: Hir-Mablung Iauergon "the Old Commander" Gender: Male Age: 2766 Race: Elf-Folk Basic Class: Warrior Alignment: Lawful Good Description: He has chiseled features and pale white skin. His eyes are silver and hair platinum, shining like the moon and stars. Unlike most of his race Mablung Iauergon is not fragile but rather is one of the few survivers of an ancient elf house, called, Elen Edhel or 'Star Elves'. They are called this because they prefer the night sky above all other light. Equipment: 1 Elvish Long Sword "El-Anglachel: Iron Star of the leaping Flame", 1 Elvish Cloak, 1 family hierloom ring, 1 family hierloom scepter, 1 Book of Beastiary, Lore, and Maps, 1 pack, 1 Elvish Dagger, 1 Bow and quiver of arrows, 2 small elvish daggers, 1 set of special mail armor hidden under normal clothes that is light as long as the wearer is pure of spirit and is extremely durable. 1 horse; slender, meduim equin stature, fast, and possesing a light silver coat. His personality is extremely serious and observant, he is single minded and noble, though he cares for all that is good, he is not an affectionate man by any stretch of the word. Spells: Feaereg: 'spirit thorn' a powerful aura that makes all except those whom Mablung care for deeply at the least, in otherwords those of skill uncomfortable and giving difficulty concentrating. For those of lesser skill (i.e. your really lowly evil thug) and spirit they find themselves in extreme pain the more they struggle the harder the aura becomes. It also allows him to detect a those who do not wish to be seen nearby, though not so far as to say be out of range for a skilled bow man to fire off a suprise arrow. Hith Esgal: A mist screen which Mablung can blend into and wait to ambush his enemies in the area or to escape from his enemies. The mist also has the interesting property of masking scents. Bio: A very old elf, he was concieved during the first great strife between Althena and the Vile Tribe. His house the Elen Edhel in old days spilled theirs and much of the Vile Tribes blood. The house was uncommon amongst the elves for two reasons, the first was it followed the martial disciplines rather than those of the magic, though they be of elf blood and have not foresaken magic by any means, instead they work it to adapt to suppliment their martial discipline instead of replace it. There have been rumors that the blood line has had humans in it as well in the days when the race was completely faithful. The second is that this house of elves knew the night and thus could fight evil on evil's on terrain, the darkness, for all they needed were the light of the stars. As such they became the vanguard of the night fro the forces of good and were given a mighty sceptre with reflected all the light of the stars and scared the lesser demons at the sheer site of it.
It was as such that the vile tribes very much desired to destroy the Elen Eldhel. It so happened that they chose the time to attack as the time the blue star aligned with the brightest star in the sky, this represented a union of future and past to the house and a great feast was held. The evil forces waited till the greatest warriors of the house were gluttoned as they feared to assail them even when they had such a large host at their disposal. After the revelries an assualt happened with swiftness. All of the house was slaughtered save for the youngest son of the master of the house, he was given the family hierlooms and a sword which he was not to wield then but when his time came. Into the wilderness he fled and made it perilous for the Viles to travel threw those parts. Slowly he began moving towards another elven house in his campaign of vengeance, it was a great ally of the Star Elves. These were the Gwathedhel or Shadow Elves, the were adept in sorceries of deception. It was three days from his twentieth year on Lunar that the sole remaining star elf arrived at the House of Gwathedhel. Upon arriving he was greeted by the hieress of the house who was his childhood friend. The two upon seeing eachother immediatly fell in love and petitioned the Master of the House to marry. The master being amazed by the tail of the surviving star elf allowed it. Within a year a child was concieved, that child was Mablung, since his noble birth in both houses he was given the title Hir- elvish for lord upon birth as the sole hier to two great houses. He spent his first 100 years training under his fathers tutelage and his grandfathers learning both deception and attack. He joined them on demon hunts and his name became feared as well amongst the demons. The viles however were not to be so easily embarrassed, the Gwathedal were now a major threat and as such were attacked, though this time it was not a surprise and many vile creatures were cast down the numbers were overwhelming, as before the hier this time mablung was sent to leave. Unlike his father though he was of age. Instead he put his mother on the sole unused horse, having unfortunately being forced to resort to violence to keep her from refusing. Running into the courtyard he saw in horror as his father was cast down from his horse and stabbed till he was beyond recognition.
Charging into battle Mablung slew many viles before he himself was about to be slewn. Over his head he saw in amazement as men in plated armor charged down and slew the band of Viles. These men were of the army of Althena and guarded her temple. It was through these men that Mablung joined the temple guard. When he reached the nearest city he sought news of his mother, none could be found of her or the family hierlooms.
Three centuries past and being the only elf warrior, he outlived his superiors. He fought valiantly on missions to defend the temple and keep the city it was located in safe. It was on one of these missions that he found a stockpile of Vile Tribe treasure who's owners had been slaughtered in an ambush. To his horror here he found his heirlooms and his mothers clothes, but no sign of her. Keeping them as they were his, he ordered all other treasure be given to the coffers of the Temple of Althena.
Unaware of what the hierlooms were, many in the guard however saw it as personal plunder of which he was depriving others of. Seeing this as corruption they went t the head priest, and being as that humans are always jealous and untrusting of elves because of their never fading youth, they exagerrated the size of the items and planted other things in his quarters. This was enough to get the high priest of the temple to expel Mablung. For the next millenia after that he fought as a mercenary amongst men and a guard for several elf lords.
It was after this long exile that he finally met the goddess herself at one of those rare occasions that can only happen when you life many years, and asked to return explaining the situation. Though he was disillusioned when he left, the goddess's beauty beyond compare made him wish to serve her cause deeper than ever. Acting as one of her personal guards at times, the night watchman of her main shrine, he was witness to events that began the civil war. Taking his leave he entered into conflict dispatching many minions of the dark human who seemed determined to destroy the world. After the conflict was over he acted as a hidden agent for his goddess and continues to do so as well as seek a dragon. He wishes to exterminate the power evil has in this world forever, and in all his years he feels this is the best way.
