Somewhere in the far recesses of the MSPB lies an open feild, where the grass grows tall and dances in the summer wind. There, atop the highest of the rolling hills, sits a slab of stone on which sits Xtermo. Next to the rock sits a sign reading, "The rock of Xtermo the Wise. Here you will find the answers to your questions. The X knows the answers you seek, and dispences them to all those who are humble enough to ask."
Ask of me any question and I will answer it to the best of my ability. It can be a question of any nature, no matter how obscene or outlandish, but be warned- the answer you get may not be the answer you want to hear, especially if I deem the question not worth the time it takes to discover and reveal the answer.

O Xtermo the Wise, why can't anyone in this day and age be creative? Everwhere I look, people copy each other, and don't even add a pinch of orginality! Where did we go wrong?

Society demands that you be a homogenous component of itself. Those who stand out are mocked and beaten into submission. Imagination is seen as a pillar of difference and is routinely crushed early on in life, and unsupported later on. The result is a one-in-a-million person who stays weird enough to say "Fuck no!" to the current trend.
These people invent new things that are quickly stolen by other people with expensive lawyers and licensed to heartless multinational incorperated companies. These companies redesign the invention so that it can make them as much money as possible, usually at the expence of the functionality or entertainment value of the original invention.
As soon as another company hears about this "Keeping up with the Jones'" occurs, and they steal the layout of this new product of their compeditor's so they can make a new version of their own and thusly not lose a new and potentially profitable market. This process continues until everyone who is remotely able is producing a product based on the designs from the company who got their product from a wacko they ran across.
The clone product problem is amplified in the case that a company pays someone to be that wacko. If you fit in enough to be hired by a heartless multinational company, odds are you have no originality at all. Therefore, companies market products based on repetitive and stupid ideas formulated in their think-tank, because they feel like they have to, after having already invested in the new product's research.
There are other reasons, including the fact that we've been able to do so much, it's hard to think of things to do that aren't interfered with by the laws of the nation or thermodynamics. But for the most part, that's the big reason.

Ah, this is true. But there is more to life than comfort. If we sat in a chair, we would appear to be little more than regular lounging people. The rock acts as an identifier, assuring people that they have found the guru they seek.
I also added a sign, as yoga and being wise have recently become trendy. That way any potential confusion is cleared up, assuming the one in need of my advice is able to read it.

Sorry. I can't picture things changing in a hurry, either. Not so long as the Empire of America survives, anyway.

Pollution. We fill the skies with the unforseen results of our socalled "progress" until they're hard to see.

Oh, Draco... Can't you see? It was never the keys! The power to drive has been inside you all along! Yeah, but what about the power to start the car? That's what I need the keys for.

The answers lie inside your mind...
Or you can just call a locksmith.
Personally, I usually find that when things aren't where they belong, the best place to look is where it doesn't belong.
