In the midst of a large military complex in the middle of California, a single mobile suit stands awaiting the coming fight. Behind the white mobile suit is a large door that leads to an underground dry dock facility. This was what remained of the California Base. The Gundam was the Retaliation Gundam, and it's pilot the infamous Retal.
Retal stands his Gundam upright and sends out a signal, opening the dry dock doors that leads into the underground complex. The Gundam's eye sensors flash a pale blue color, and it lifted off the ground as the Gundam's hoverjets roared to life. With some control manipulation, Retal moved back into the underground facility, leaving a flare to make the entryway ito the battleground Retal had chosen. Bereft of any warships in port, this underground dry dck provided the perfect location for a final battle...now all that was needed was for Retal's opponent to arrive...

The Defiance Gundam soon arrives via using it's Thermo Nuke thrusters.
The flare gave a clear indication of where the Retaliation was, and so, Steel piloted the Defiance Gundam towards where the flare was fired.
In the Defiance's right hand is a 100mm Machinegun and the Defiance is equipped with the GAU-X2-01-CFA Core Fighter. Also, the shield is mounted on the left forearm, and all weapons are fully loaded and ready for use.

Also, the shield is mounted on the left forearm, and all weapons are fully loaded and ready for use. As Steel entered the doorway, he found himself in a long entry tunnel, it led down for several stories, until at last, he came to another large metal doorway. It parted to admit him, and Steel then found himself in a large drydock, several low-lying gurnies and cranes scattered about a large dock, filled to the brim with flowing water. He was at the rear end of the dock, where the ships had docked and were serviced, far at the other end of it was the loading area, which led to the river that fed the water into the dock. That opening was the only source of light in the dock. At the moment, anyway.
The dock itself was U-shaped, and to the right of it was another tunnel that led into yet another dock. And it was at the head of that tunnel where the Retaliation Gundam now stood, shield in hand. Retal raised the Gundam's arm and opened up the 90mm gattlings, spitting his crosshairs on the Defiance's legs. Once locked on, Retal fired a short five-round burst at it, then ducked back into the tunnel...

Then, Steel brings the Defiance to a halt on the dock just before going off onto the water. While coming to a stop, Steel fires the 100mm Machinegun in a burst at the top of the tunnel entrance, causing it to cave in, seperating the Retaliation from the Defiance.

Being made of metal, the tunnel entrance didn't collapse, and Retaliation just kept backing off into a second dock, perfectly content to let Steel think he'd trapped him. After all, if worse came to worst, Retal could always exit the base and go through the river to get to Steel...

Retal sat and waited for quite a while. Finally realizing Steel wasn't coming, he sighed and dropped his two leader funnels. Keeping his senses alert, he began modifying them, if Steel wasn't coming out willingly...he'd have to be drawn out...

Steel now engages the Thermo Nuclear Thrusters again and zooms off riding on super heated air as he travels across the water and out of the underground dock via the route to the river.

*Aries, out in the California highlands close to the dilapidated base, a Jeep behind him and his Ariesian Super Goggles tinted dark against the glare of the summer sun, lowers his binoculars from the Defiance and the Retaliation.*
Final Encounter...
*He grins.*
Heh. Right.
*He brings his binoculars back up again.*

Right. *He brings his binoculars back up again.* "Hey, I heard that Aries!" Steel barked over the com. OOC: Just to let you know Aries, Retal will hardly be online if at all in about 2 weeks time, so really, this will be a final encounter due to him 'leaving'.

Still grasping the leader funnels in his Gundam's arms, Retal quickly got the Gundam on it's feet, sensing Steel outside of the perimter of the base, wondering how the Hell Steel got outside.
He quickly kicked in his main thrusters and quickly glided outside to the riverbank, turning round so he could get in a good vantage spot to find Steel...

The Defiance obviously had it's Thermo Nuke Thrusters engaged, keeping it stationary, and Steel had also opted to keep the backpack boosters warmed... Retal had already turned, his shield moving forwards to protect the Gundam from the rounds, it's vulcans opening up in reply as Retal cut more power into his boosters and rose up to meet the Defiance...
