(ooc: Here we go!)
April 1st, 2008 NC
Puerto Limón, Costa Rica.
It really has been a long time since I saw the sky from this side... a young woman thought as she relaxed on the pristine beach, attempting to dry off after swimming.
Swimming in the ocean for a couple hours had been very good exercise, and now most of her scaled body was dry, excepting her hair and the parts of her under the black swimsuit she was wearing.
She sat up and stretched, brushing a bit of white sand off her back. Taking a few moments to watch the waves, the view only mared by the tower being constructed a good distance offshore, she let her mind wander to the events of the last few years.
It's amazing when I really think about it, but technically I've been dead for eight years today, she thought, before laughing and deciding that for a 'dead person' she was doing well enough.
She stood up to stretch out her legs and tail, before picking up her towel and heading back into town. Stopping for a swim had been nice, but she was in the area on business, after all. Besides, Omega had probably finished the repairs to her armor by now.
------------
About an hour later she met up with the guards at the UEG base in the region. This base was the real reason the area was making a recovery. It was one of the main ports for supplies heading towards the Altas construction site.
They had her wait outside as two men came out from the base, both humans but one seemed to have quite a few cybernetic enhancements.
Dai, now clad in her Anubis armor, greeted her employers with a simple, "What's the job?"
The one with the enhancements spoke first, the other seemed to just be there to take notes, "Dai, correct?"
The Anubis armor's binders twitched slightly, betraying her agitation, "Yes, who the hell else would I be?"
The man stood his ground, "No offense, but even with someone who stands out as much as you do I'm supposed to ask."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Get on with it, I didn't come out here to just stand around all day."
"Then I'll get straight to the point. We've got a situation here with an intruder. Our soldiers have been unable to deal with the woman in question, and she's even managed to stand up to a few of our troopers."
"So, you want me to deal with one person, who might not even have armor. Right?"
"That is correct."
Dai thought for a moment, "Fine, I'll do it for 2,000."
The man stiffened a bit, but then again it wasn't as bad as he'd expected, "2,000 it is. Here's a picture of the person in question from some security footage."
Dai nodded and took the picture, taking a moment to study it before putting it in a storage case, "Right, when does she usually show up?"
"Can't say. She's snuck in at night a few times and a few times in broad daylight. We'll have a transport ready to take you to the construction site itself tomorrow, but for now we ask that you stay in town and keep a radio tuned to the frequency writen on the back of that picture with you at all times The woman in question has shown up both in town and at the elevator itself, so we can't be too sure where she'll pop up next."
"Okay, I'll keep my eyes open. Unless there's anything else you'd like to discuss, I'll be heading out."
"Very well. The transport will leave at 1100 tomorrow morning, unless something happens before then. You'll get your pay at the same time."
Dai didn't say another word, instead simply turning and firing her thrusters, heading back into the city.

"Where the hell is that woman..."
Two and a half days have passed, and while a good portion of sunlight still remains right now, WeiLi is getting a bit worried.
It's been three years since Souffle, Yumi, and herself have lived together. Granted, the idea of living with Yumi has not been her first choice, and to this day, it still isn't, and yet in spite of her differences between Yumi and herself... things turned out much better than expected. She still has some resentment over the past... the little practical joke that drove the two apart in the first place still swells, and the whole issue between the Sonchiro siblings still hurt when she thinks about it... but all in all, things were actually quite good. Yes, there were the occasional squabbles between the two of them, the occasional digging up of the past, or the redundant things such as Yumi's apparent lack of kitchen manners, the Hi Nu Girl's sudden taste for extreme outdoors sports... or worse, her inability to wake up AFTER said sports... yet all in all, she was able to live with all that. In fact, one thing she could always count on is Yumi's devotion to protecting both Souffle and WeiLi, and thus far, Yumi has kept her word. Indeed, it made it all the more easier for WeiLi herself to keep up her own promise: to take care of the older sister.
"Take care of Yumi," was Cho's last request. WeiLi recalled how bitter she felt when those words were spoken, and how she spat in his face (proverbially speaking). Yet here she is, three years later, doing the one thing she said she would never do. Time does heal old wounds, and happy endings are a wonderful thing.
*CRASH!*
"AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!"
*CRUNCH!*
"What the hell was - "
Before WeiLi could finish her sentence, another body sailed over her head, and landed on the ground in a crumpled heap.
"Touch me again, and you'll lose your hands, got it!?!" a woman's voice hollered from inside a building. Shaking her head, WeiLi brushed a lock of her black mane off to the side, and walked in.
"There you are," WeiLi sighed, walking passed the splintered furniture and broken glass. The patrons stood stunned by the apparent display of violence within, staying far away from one particular person at the counter: a purple haired woman, decidedly in her early twenties, sitting at the counter with a small drink in her hand, as though nothing had happened.
Yumi Sonchiro.
"What just happened here?" WeiLi asked non-chalantly, not really caring for an answer.
"Working out," was Yumi's response.
"I... see..." WeiLi rolled her eyes, approaching the woman. "So... where have you been these past couple of days?"
"Couple of..." Yumi muttered, her eyes widened as she looked at the time and the calendar. "Crap, I was supposed to get the... S***!"
The Hi Nu Girl quickly dropped a handful of credits from her pocket and bolted out the door.
"Gotta go! But thanks for the drinks!" ^^
"Uh - hey, wait up, b****!" Wei hollered, and bolted after the Hi Nu Girl.
It has been that kind of day, indeed...

It had been to Souffle Reeds' obvious relief that Millenium's development hadn't warranted Nebin Cybrionne's grave be levelled completely into the dirt; over the years, it was still exactly where Souffle remembered burying her late foster father, and it was there that she'll always find 'Cybbie' when she needed or wanted to --- even if he had been dead for three whole years now. Souffle was glad for this; if Millenium even touched Cybbie's resting spot Souffle would never stand for it, no matter whose tail she would end up stepping on...
Then again, Souffle wouldn't be the only person who might have a score to settle with Millenium if so, but if it was Yumie who did it, Souffle simply didn't know how things would go. Three years of living with her and Wei-Li had told Souffle that Yumie could definitely still be tough-as-nails and a mean fighter --- much meaner than Kouji still --- when she needed to be, even though that demeanor had actually taken a toll on Yumi Sonchiro's well-being in the past. But while it wasn't why Souffle liked Yumie, it was still a comfort to know overall.
"Hi, Cybbie," Souffle began, lowering her head in reverent silence. "How're you? I know it's been a bit longer in coming here this time than before...I'm sorry, but with whatever this Millenium thingy is being built here, there's just been so many people around, and I didn't really want to fly unless I had to..."
There was a slight pause as Souffle took a breath. "Yumie and Miss Wei-Li are fine, don't worry. They're somewhere in the city, probably having a drink, so I just decided to come here first. They'll be here later, I think, provided Yumie doesn't get into any fights on her way here..." A chuckle that soon died. "Must be good news to you to hear that Yumie's doing well, hmm, Cybbie?
"...Are you lonely? Do you see anyone else we know where you are? It's been so long since I've talked to our other friends from the ship...I don't even hear from Wind or Saki anymore. I wonder how they're doing compared to me..."
"I wonder when we'll go back to the Garden for vacation next..."
Before Souffle could continue that thought, it was then that another figure, movements quick as the wind and silent as night, appeared and walked her own casual way towards Souffle and Cybrionne, stopping behind the taller, gracefully slender young woman in contrastingly bulky Xi Gundam armor. A sigh from her brought Souffle out of her reverie, and caused the newcomer to in turn look at the gravestone as well in amusement.
"...Um...hello...who're you? Are you a friend of Cybbie's, too?" Souffle asked blankly, blinking; the newcomer was a woman, notably older than Souffle, with green hair that protruded out from the back of her purple-painted helmet. The first reaction that came to Souffle's mind was that with her armor, she looked strange enough already; the armor was of a type she hadn't seen before, light and relatively undecorative, painted purple and black but looking like a gigantic purple scarab beetle in appearance --- right down to the talons on the forearms and legs. Who was she? Souffle never knew and, for all she knew about the outside world, couldn't hope to...
For awhile, the newcomer didn't answer, green eyes unwavering towards the gravestone's markings; it was only after a few moments that she even registered Souffle's words at all. "Here lies Nebin Cybrionne, veteran of the UEG, brave warrior and endearing father..." She read emotionlessly before turning to Souffle, expression unreadable. "Pink hair...I always thought I'd find you here of all places. You must be Souffle Reeds."
Souffle nodded mutely, prepared to run if it proves a viable option.
"I've heard of you --- Cybrionne raised a fine daughter, yes." The newcomer turned away, back to the grave. "It's a shame he died. I'm Kally Lyedalla, if you're interested to know --- I knew Cybrionne before he found you."
The name sounded familiar, but Souffle couldn't place it at all. "So, uh, Miss Kally..."
"Actually, I have a question to ask of you, Souffle Reeds." Kally interrupted before Souffle could even start, eyes glaring at her with a look that could freeze magma. Souffle shivered nervously at it. "With your previous involvement with the Shining Hope, I am wondering if you have any way I can contact a certain person by the name of Kouji Kamishima."
"You...you want to meet Kouji? Why?"
Ever the innocent girl. It's a shame, Kally thought to herself inwardly, sighing. "Curiousity. How can I contact him?"
"I don't even know...I haven't spoken to him in a year..." Souffle shook her head, trying desperately to keep herself collected; Kally was giving her the shivers and something didn't feel right with her questions --- mainly why she wanted to speak to Kouji --- but it wasn't a good thing to panic right now. Souffle could only wonder how Yumie would've handled this. "I'm sorry, Miss Kally, but I can't help you..."
Wait, I shouldn't even have to ask, Souffle smiled in comfort, Yumie'd throw a hissy fit and beat her up to the sky! Speaking of which, I'd better go find them soon...
"Fair enough." Kally took one last look at Cybrionne's gravestone before turning around, giving Souffle a sideways look. "If you see Kouji again, tell him that I'd like to speak to him. He can find me in New Mexico. I'd like to stay, but I have a meeting; Goodbye, Souffle."
Without as much as a wave, Kally began walking away, leaving Souffle blinking at her in her wake. Kally paused at one last thought, chuckling mirthlessly for some reason.
"Nebin Cybrionne was a fine warrior, Souffle. You've got that right." Kally commented. "But he's not your father by blood. Your blood father is somewhere in the horizon...and I'm sure Cybrionne had told you to look for him as well, has he not?"
And then Kally leapt, taking to the skies with insect wings and flying away in a trail of sparkling stars. Souffle frowned, finally allowing herself to relax, struggling not to fall to the ground; Yumie had taught her well, but Kally Lyedalla still scared the heck out of Souffle for some reason. Souffle could only hope Kally wasn't up to anything bad...
"My father..." Souffle bit her lip, forcing her eyes closed at Kally's comment. "I know, yes, but I don't know what I should do. What should I do, Cybbie...?"

OOC: Cyb, you played right into what I was already going to do, you crazy psychic.
Who the hell was that? Wind thought to himself as a strange woman flew away.
Wind had been hiding behind a tree, waiting for Souffle to leave, he could never face her as guilt stricken as he still was. Wind couldn't make out what the woman was saying to Souffle, but it obviously had some effect upon her.
It broke his heart to see the girl in pain. She was always so bright and cheerful when they were on the Shining Hope, and now lord knows how much pain she has to go through. Cyb was like a father to her, he could only imagine how much that hurt her to see him go. When his parents had died, he had nothing left for them, having disowned them years before for what they had done.
He continued waiting for Souffle to leave, because no matter how much he wanted to go and comfort her, he just couldn't. He had let far too many people down in the past.

It was only awhile into her thoughts that Souffle managed to notice a second, distinctly uneasy feeling creeping into her heart, and this feeling nevertheless startled Souffle enough to cause her to turn around hastily, looking around her with nervousness but never managing to really find what was bothering her. Souffle didn't know why; perhaps it was something she had picked up from Yumie or Wei-Li, but Souffle could feel it nevertheless, and strongly as well.
But she soon realized that this second feeling was different than the first, than what Kally Lyedalla gave her; Kally's bad feeling was of a strange, enigmatic one, of someone who Souffle didn't know but only sensed that she was up to something terrible; this second feeling, in turn, was as if Souffle was feeling someone else's sadness, uncomfortable --- but somehow familiar, as if she actually knew this someone...
Still, Souffle's eyes were failing her in searching for what this feeling came from, and it was growing little by little. Trying to take deep breaths, Souffle eventually decided on a course of action.
"H-Hello?" Souffle called out nervously, preparing herself to flee and checking her Xi Gundam armor mentally. "W...w-who's there? Who is it...?"

Great, she knew he was here. He hadn't wanted this, but it was too late now. He walked out from behind the tree.
"Hi."

"Milk..."
"Check..."
"Lettuce..."
"Check..."
"Juice..."
"Check..."
"Ginger..."
"Check..."
"Chicken wings..."
"Check..."
"Um... Bak choy..."
"Check..."
"Hmm... Beef..."
"Check..."
"Hoi Sine sauce..."
"Check... frig, only you would take two and a half days to do the groceries..." WeiLi growled, as she checked off the list in her hand.
"Some of these things don't exactly come by so easily, you know," Yumi replied. "Shrimp chips..."
"Check... perhaps, but that does not explain how you ended up in a bar!" WeiLi exclaimed.
"Hey, I never said it was an excuse, I'm just saying it's hard to come by... um... teriyaki sauce... bean curd... tofu... pork chops..."
"Check, check... and check... well, why DID you get into that fight?" WeiLi demanded. "For crying out loud, you had the both of us worried, especially Souffle!"
"That should be the last of it..." Yumi muttered, then turned back to the raven haired cyborg. "I had no intention of picking a fight. Friggin' morons tried to steal both the car, AND the food! Had to find those punks and get the stuff back!"
"For two and a half days?" WeiLi rolled her eyes.
"They were sneakier than I thought," Yumi shrugged, packing the bags into the trunk of the car."
"Wait, wait, wait... Black Fox... duped by a bunch of thugs?" WeiLi frowned. "Either you lost your touch, or you're not telling me the whole story."
"So I've lost my touch," Yumi grunted, and slammed the trunk closed. "Ready to leave?"
"Yumi..." WeiLi muttered under her breath, then let out a soft, sigh. "Look... this is not the first time this has happened, but you're getting out of the home more and more these days... it seems like you're getting into these fights more often than before. You're worrying us."
The Hi Nu Girl let out a sigh of her own, a bit of exhaustion within her breath as she exhaled slowly. WeiLi could tell that she was tired, though her exterior would otherwise show no hint of it at all. Sonchiros can be so stubborn...
"I'm exhausted right now... and you're right, I've been out more often than usual..." Yumi conceded. "If you don't mind, I'd like to go home and see how Souffle is doing. Got her worried, haven't I?"
"She's a big girl," WeiLi chuckled. "Still, though she's become a fine young woman, she's still a little girl when she's around you. Yumi, she's smart. She knows there's something wrong... heck, she worries about you almost as much as you worry about... us."
Yumi paused slightly before stepping into the car, and starting the engine.
"Tell you what... after the two days I've been out... I'll stay home for once," Yumi said. "Gosh knows what the two of you would do when I'm not around."
"What!?!"
Yumi simply gave the Chinese girl a wink.
"Hop in, Winnie."

"Hello?" Souffle blinked in noncomprehension for a moment, trying to recognize the second voice and the person it came from; and then, it hit her, and she remembered that she knew him. Instant relief at that flooded her and she sighed, relaxing and smiling at the person she recognized as her friend: "Wind? Is that you?"
Before anything else, Souffle then ran towards Wind and stretched out her arms to hug him --- before she stopped herself with a slide within a few centimetres of her target, remembering that she was still wearing Xi Gundam armor which would've resulted in a lot of pain for both Wind and Souffle in turn. ^^; Instead, Souffle settled for a relieved, friendly grin, placing her hands behind her back casually.
"It's so nice to see you again, Wind --- I missed you! How are you? Where have you been lately?"

After Dai had entered the city she knew she was being followed. But the preson doing so was very good.
From a room top a few blocks away. A blue haired girl watched Dai through a scope. "Hmm so that's Dai... The bioweapon they payed off to track me down..."
She stepped down from the edge of the building and walked towards the exit.
"Boss... Zero here.... Seems they payed a Bioweapon to hunt me down.... Her name's Dai and she seems to be some kind of lizard or something."
"Dai......" a Female voice whispered over the com back to the bule haired girl.
"What was that boss?" She asked.
"Nothing.... But you are to not under any condition to engage this target... No need to hurt someone they hired... I don't want anyone hunt in this remember that Zero.."
"............."
"Do you understand?"
"Yes Ma'am.."
Zero looked back towards the area Dai was headed. "Could she be the one?...."

"I've been.." He began, she was so happy to see him. "Well, I've been here, hot New Mexico deserts aren't too bad after a while."
He had forgotten how bright she could be. He couldn't ruin that, so he tried to keep his now very morose attitude in check and put out a nice front. Just because he was still greving, didn't mean that he had to bring everyone else down with him too.

Dai felt a bit of an uneasy sensation as she flew, almost as if a pair of eyes were following her every move, but did nothing about it. In all honesty, she wasn't that hard to track in a city.
It's most likely either someone from the UEG keeping tabs on me or the target. Either way, I'll deal with it when the time comes.
She landed on the roof of a hotel downtown, and found Omega waiting there, as expected.
"Welcome back, Dai. How did the proceedings go?" the android started.
"Well enough, got the job and the payment will be 2,000 credits," Dai began to walk towards the stairwell, Omega following.
"Understood. When we recieve the payment it should be enough to let you continue your search."
"Yeah, it should. I can't shake that feeling though..."
"Pardon me, but, what feeling, Dai?"
Dai paused, then shook her head, "I don't know. I've just had a 'feeling' since I got back to Earth... I think she's here, Omega. We're finally on the right track."
Omega just nodded, "Be that as it may, it is probably not a good idea to stand out in the open in your armor, Dai. We should head inside."
The bioweapon nodded, opening the door and heading down to her room to change back to her regular clothes.

"Hey, sorry I'm late," Yumi announced, as she walked into the home with bags in her arms.
"Late it putting it lightly," WeiLi muttered under her breath.
"Hush, you," Yumi chided. "Souffle... I finally got you those pancakes you wanted... Souffle?"
"She's probably gone out," WeiLi shrugged, unpacking the food and putting them on the counter.
"Out?"
"Oh, now don't give me that shocked look," WeiLi groaned. "Did I not say that she's a woman now?"
"But - "
"You promised not to make a fuss out of it," WeiLi reminded the Hi Nu Girl.
"But - "
"She's 17, and she's an MS Girl, in case you have forgotten," WeiLi interrupted once again.
"Will you just - "
"Yumi!"
"..."
WeiLi glared at her companion with steely eyes.
"Fine... I'll wait..." Yumi gave in. "BUT! If she doesn't return in 30 minutes, I'm going after her."
"Like your two days is a FINE example of your moral backbone," WeiLi taunted.
"Hey, it was different with me, and I was going to apologise anayways," Yumi cut in.
"Whatever..." WeiLi shrugged, unpacking the rest of the items, while Yumi sat on the chair, and sulked.

Early morning, April 1st 2008 NC
A lone man walks through the woods.
"I don't believe that I have to take a gun with me, just to walk in the woods," thought the man as he looks at the shotgun in his hands,"But since all those bioweapons and god knows what else got out of Yamato, it's not been safe to go lone without something to protect yourself.
The man continues to walk, looking at the woods around himself and enjoying the sights, when suddenly the silent woods become alive with noise.
"What's the problem now!" said the man as he runs to investigate the source of the noise.
When he reaches a small clearing he discovers a lone MS Girl lying face down on the ground.
"Hey you okay?" asked the man as he slowly approaches the girl.
He stops beside her and checks to see if she's alive.
"Just knocked out huh, oh well I'll take you home with me, " said the man as he slings the gun over his shoulder and picks up the unconscious girl.
He then starts his way home.
--------
Noon
"Boy this armor has seen better days," said the man as he cleans and repairs it,"But it's not like your paying attention to me."
He looks at the sleeping girl in the bed.
"Looks like this delays my trip. Oh, well I don't get many visitors anyway. I guess a single, teenage boy living by himself in a 2-bedroom, 1 bathroom house is alittle weird..." said the man just as the door bell rung,"I wonder who that is?"

Zero went to the desk and asked for Dai's Room.
"I'm sorry miss but I can't give you that infomation..." The man behind the desk replaied.
Zero sighed. She knew it wouldn't be as easy as that and went to plan B.
"Listen good sir... I'm here from the UEG and need to know what room woman named Dai is staying in..." She said.
The man sighed and looked at zero once more not seeing the normal UEG icons anywhere he asked. "I'll have to see some ID first man."
Zero sighed again and pulled out her fake ID and flashed it in front of the man's face.
"There now give me the damn room number." she said just under yelling it.
"Hmm one moment..." The man said as he checked his computer for the name. "I'm sorry but no one under the name Dai has checked in here..." He replied.
Zero would have lost her temper if it hadn't been for wanting to know why her boss didn't want her to hurt this bioweapon female.
"Fine... Then just tell me where the dino-girl checked in..." she sighed again. "Man.... I wonder if she's even still here..."
"Oh her..." He checked his computer once again. "She's in room 666 on the 7th floor..." He said.
"Thank you..." Zero said and headed off. ============
Zero had changed in a empty room she had unlocked herself and nor headed to see what this Dai woman was.
She got to the door and knocked 3 times.
"I hope this is worth it..." She said to herself as she waited for a reply.

Dai was in the bathroom, in the middle of buttoning up her shirt, already mostly dressed with simple pants and underwear, when there was a knock at the door.
"Omega, can you get that?" she asked as she snarled slightly under her breath at a stubborn button.
"Of course, Dai," the blue haired android responded before walking to the door and opening it, "May I help you, miss?"
