Quite so. I couldn't stand Idolo. I demand those 55 minutes of my life back. Started out on the wrong foot with an opening practically ripped right from Gundam: Stardust Memory, then we're thrown into the universe with little explanation of events other than one incident illustrating the antagonism between Martians and Terrans.
We then later on get the shallow Radium piloting a Mech, with animation so mind-bogglingly bad that you're forced to blank it out to keep watching voluntarily. Orbital Frames move and fight like hummingbirds, not 1950's moon-pods. Prototype or not, Idolo ought to have been portrayed as far more quick and flexible than it was... and the Burst attack in particular: what's supposed to be a mini-nuke gets turned into a little soap-bubble. Meh.
Animation and portrayal of the mechs aside, the plot seems as if it was thrown together in five minutes by somebody who was a great fan of Pilot Candidate. You'll have to pardon me for not seeing the TV series, but why is it exactly that the Idolo was playing on Radium's mind at the end as if he was inside an Eva?
As for Viola... meh. Weak-willed person. What did she see in that guy?
Eh, well, I hear ZOE: Dolores the TV show isn't so bad. Half-comedy, like ZZ Gundam.
Oh, and Corey: Jehuty's a corruption of an alternate name for Thoth, Egypt's Scribe-God. Head of an Ibis, which is indeed a bird. Konami either altered the name slightly to make it sound cooler, or there was a small mistake in the design department and nobody caught it in time.
While I'm on the topic of the Mechs... anybody else notice that Vic Viper is a lot like the ship from that old Konami shooter Gradius?

Konami either altered the name slightly to make it sound cooler, or there was a small mistake in the design department and nobody caught it in time. Good mistake if you ask me. Jehuty's a very beautiful name. I hope if there are anymore sequels to the game there'll be new egyptian related orbital frames. *imagines a Set based orbital frame* And yeah, the movie really wasn't that great.. It didn't feel like ZOE really now that I think about it.. More like, as you said, Gundam. I think it would have been better if maybe it had been done with cgi animation as well. To get that feel the game has. That, and it needed to be much much much darker. And also, I think the reason Idolo's burst attack and such wasn't as powerful might be because it was the first oribital frame. And considering the priority everyone seems to have on Jehuty and Anubis, I'm guessing those two little devils were powered up a lot.

You don't have to 'think'. The V2 IS a Gradius cameo. All you have to do is simply look at the name itself: Vic Viper. That itself already tips you off. If that isn't blatant enough, look no further than its ship mode. Lets see... lasers, homing missiles, Ripple... and if that isn't blatant enough, add Options. Heck, it even has that shield, which, much like in Gradius, provides temporary invulnerability from attacks until the enem whittles it away. The one that really sealed it, though, is in the Ex mission, where you are playing a space shooter that is reminiscent of Gradius, and guess which ship you're using?

Aaah, ZOE. MR introduced me to this when he played it while he was down here. These type of games I prefer to just watch being played as opposed to playing them (namely because I suck at them). I like Dingo ... he's pretty cool. Ken, on the other hand ... I want to smack that ho. >_>

That ho needed a better VA. They turned a sassy, yet vengeful character into this gratingly whiney be-yotch. >< At any rate, the game can be tough, but it isn't really that difficult to get into. A little practice with the controls, and you'd be taking out hundreds of OFs in no time. ^^
Of course, taking out certain levels, like the train level with Jehuty version 1... ugh...
If you really want to look like you're cool, next time MR is there with ZOE2, play as Naked Jehuty. Guiltless cheat code. You'll blow by most levels like nothing. ^^

Man, Aegis. You really like that Naked Jehuty, eh? Just kidding, deary. I'll have to do that and act like I'm the biggest badass ever. Then he'll find me irresistable and will tackle hug me. THIS IS GENIUS, AEGIS!
