I have been brought up by intelligent Christians and they realize that most thing in the bible are not supposed to be taken seriously. then they weren't christians. They're just idiots who want to believe they're going to heaven when they die without actually changing their lifestyle or believing in anything at all. and, all you guys seem to be doing is debunking the idiots of the creationists. Any arguement is easily won when you're argueing against the incompitent points of idiots.

Thank you, Nazarian for making a good point. And for the record, I stand by my creationist viewpoint. So now you know that there is at least one of us here who is not naturalist.

Okay, in all honesty, I think a debate like this pointless.
I see no need to argue over these matters because it's a thing of religious beliefs. All I see from this is petty bickering on who's right and who's wrong. Not only are we bashing what some believe, we're practically taking this off-topic and targeting eachother.
X and Naz. As a Christian, I respect your viewpoint. I know that much of Creationism has to do with believing without seeing, faith. Obviously you all's is stronger than I, but nevertheless, though my viewpoint on this matter differs from you alls, you have my respect, as well as anyone who is creationist on this board who doesn't want to speak.
Cyrus, Goji, Neo, and the rest of you all, you have my respect as well. I learned many things about Evolution from my Beology class last year, and while I think it's plausible, there still feels something a bit off, I'm not quite sure about it.
As for everything else, this is my last comment on this, and now I leave.

Ok, we'll finish the spitting contest at school. Now for something completely different. I just want to say if your going to say dinosaurs exist, today, because of the pictures of dragons then that would mean that sphinxes and all those other mythological creatures exist, today, too. Just one thing I found funny. I don't really think that there are any creationists on this site... lets go get them. Why the hell would I say that? A sphinx is just a mythical creature that takes the best parts of nature and puts them together (strength of a lion, wings of an eagle, intelligence of a human), and dragons are more than likely just crocodile/alligator/lizard stories blown way out of proportion (the skull that was supposedly from the dragon St. George slayed was just an alligator skull, after all).

"Christians give Jesus a bad name." Plus most of us suck. Anywho, even on a purely naturalistic level, abiogenesis makes no sense. The naturalistic hocus-pocus to go from nonliving to living is just as nebulous as mine or anyone else's, when it comes right down to it. But rest assured that I'll not bother to break your train of thought with interruptions- it won't gain me any ground, nor will it change how you or I view the world, so ultimately Craze is right- such a debate is pointless. If you want to actually talk about this topic, you can AIM or PM me, but nitpicking apart each other's statements does nothing for anyone here.

And G the last part was nothing to you, just saying something. And the first part said I'd talk to you at school.

Actually, technically C8 and Cyrus ARE Catholics. Then again, "technically" so am I, even though I subscribe to an Atheist philosophy. But, still, all three of us go to a school called "Catholic High School."

I never said they were going to hell. I simply said they weren't christians based on how you phrased their beliefs the first time. True, not everything in the bible is not to be taken seriously. There are parts, like some of the laws stated in Leviticus, that shouldn't be taken seriously in our time. But if they believe that most of the bible is not to be taken seriously, then they aren't christians. There are good people who aren't christians.

Besides, that's a "No True Scottsman" Fallacy. If they believe in Jesus as the Messiah, then by definition they are Christian.
