By the title, ya'll may be wondering "WTF"? But I shall explain why I think Girl Scouts is actually a rather sexist organization.
I was in GS from 1st-5th grade, and I HATED it! Why, you ask? BECAUSE ALL WE EVER DID WAS FUCKING GIRLY STUFF! Which I now realize quite sexist, because all it does is encorage girls to be in stereotypical gender roles. We went "camping" all of twice, and even then, it wasn't really camping, because we didn't stay in tents. We stayed in fucking lodges with fucking air conditioning! Oh yeah, that's really roughing it. And there are at least two badges devoted to my least favorite animal (horses)! I guess they assume ALL girls like horses. Well, they never have met me! And most of the badges were for stuff like cooking, cleaning, clothes, etc girly stuff. They (the stupid GS People) think that they're doing some good for people with XX chromosomes, but all they're really doing is creating little cookie-cutter stereotypes of what society thinks a woman should be (i.e. a horse-fuck...er..loving, stereotype that does typical "female" jobs). If they REALLY wanted to help us females, I think they should make some badges for things that girls aren't typicaly interested in (reptiles, REAL camping, outdoor skills, insects) so maybe to stop encouraging gender roles and spark interest in girls for things they aren't "supposed" to like.
Well, now that ya'll have heard my stupid rambling, discuss...

Well i know my sisters group went out camping but the things they did were really stupid. Sexist isn't the right word, I would say stereotypicle though.

Holy smack, cooking and making cookie cutters was like the best freaking part of girl scouts. I remember making Christmas ornaments, too...
Personally, I believe strongly in the institution of gender roles. Equal wages- great. But we do need to learn how to cook and raise children because men simply do not know how. Someone has to do it.
Besides, men like women who can cook, so you have a better chance of getting a husband when the time comes.
And every day I put on make-up and shave my legs... certainly not for myself, but for men. We should be proud to be the better-groomed gender, anyway.
But I don't advocate the complete domestication of women. We should, and do, work at equal wages and so on. But if you decide to have children, it should definitely be the woman who takes maternity leave- I wouldn't want my husband to take care of a small baby; women give birth and take care of the children naturally. not to say that men shouldn't have anything to do with child-rearing or anything.
Feminism is great, but it's not a huge issue in the US or Europe anymore. Take your feminism to Africa, honey- it's actually needed there. Women in this country don't have to worry if they'll be stoned to death for asking their husband to use a condom.
Granted, there are still places in the south where domestic violence is a problem, but at least there are laws and battered-women’s shelters and so on.

Well at least they have good cookies. I just like there outfits thats it. I do think you have a point but feminism in the US kinda lost it. Mainly becuse they don't have that many real issues. I heard some sued supercuts becouse they chage too much money for women haircuts.
