What is Aries going to do to combat evil?
Evil is even more relative than good. Stealing, for instance. You steal just to steal, that's wrong. You steal because you need something, that can be right on some levels. You steal on the level of Robin Hood, and that can be right on even more.
The world isn't black and white. Circumstances dictate reality and a lot of stuff can go gray on you realy fast, and your perspective can make something look good when it looks bad to other people. Perspective is a lot of the problem when it comes to good and evil, and guess what, we're NEVER going to get over it.
So.
What is Aries going to do.
Aries is going to live his life the way he sees correct. Aries is going to be a nice guy. Aries is going to be a teacher, and teach kids to live their lives the way they think right, and to believe what their hearts and consciences tell them.
Aries is going to affect the world from where he stands. He doesn't need power to do it. It's about playing for a longer game. Aries is perfectly prepared to work his whole life to get the American people out of this fucking hole, and do it on a level where he's not important or essential.
Change is coming. It is our destiny.

Well Religion is a too sided blade, it teahes you morals, values it was made laws, build cities, but it can make fanatics and made mankind do very evil things to other men. But really overall Religion is a good thing I hate people that say it's crap it's not, I really hate people who think they'll be the same without it they're just as bad as an INQ. or PETA.

Maybe it is just me and my WoW withdrawl, but did Sab say something halfway intelligent, there?

Name a single thing, Sab, that can arise from religion that cannot arise from secular humanism. As you may (but probably haven't) imagine, I find it equally trying when someone comments on how religion is necessary for a just world.

Praying speeding healing? That's ridiculous. It's a matter of faith, Ellis. Not everything can be explained away by science.

Actually, some scientists did little study and said that praying does indeed increase the speed of healing. Whether that's an absolute truth or not I cannot say. And if it is true, that doesn't necessarily mean that God is helping these people heal faster because they're giving him thanks... (But that's a whole other argument.)
People aren't evil. People aren't good. People are people. Evil and good are simply words that society has attached to ideas that are far greater than human comprehension. The definitions of evil and good change over time, just like all words. They are not absolute.
Neo, do you honestly think that someone bullying someone else because they're different is really getting worse? If so, then humanity has been doomed since we evolved from monkeys! Jews, Christians, Muslims, Blacks, Whites, Asians, Hispanics, disabled peoples, and homosexuals have all been discriminated against. And that's just the tip of a very large iceberg of.
And horrid spectacles for entertainment have been around for thousands of years. Just think about the Roman collosseum or hangings or floggings or stonings, etc.
We aren't doing anything now that our distant ancestors didn't do. We are, fundamentally, no different than everyone who came before us.

It's a matter of faith, Ellis. Not everything can be explained away by science. "Faith is believing what you know ain't so." -Mark Twain Any apparent prayer helping an individual to heal more quickly would likely be the result of a psychological effect, not a divine factor. As for getting worse, Ace? Perhaps, perhaps not. What I'm driving at is not really a matter of where we are relative to where we were. Rather, it's a matter of where we want to go. In other words, what do we plan on doing on an individual basis to overcome this all too human?

Also it's said that faith makes people life longer since many have stornger wills to live. Many of the things in the bible have happen. Like the destortion of the cities of Sloden and Galmora is true we found the cities.
