Yay!
Less damage to the party!
SIEG!!
...
No, ah...
Seriously, this is a very solid attempt at damage control. It's got more to do with the affair and the chasing than the bisexual part. Bisexual part ain't nothin', however much that CERTAIN PEOPLE will try to make it the big deal.
Ahem.

I figured as much. Jersey wasn't in the news much for other underacheiving things, so it was only natural because God forbid something about New Jersey is fucked up... Bah, could just be the lack of sleep talking, if so, I'll go back and edit later...

I read about that a little while ago. And I still don't see why he resigned. Sexuality should have nothing to do about how you run your state...

few reasons he stepped down main one was to save his ass...
after openly opposing Gay marrage he comes out and says that He infact is Gay? kinda hypocritical, and if the man that he did have affairs with (the home land secruity guy for NJ) filed for sexual harassment, as i heard he might do, thered be no telling the scandle that would unfold...not to mention the Media eating it up...
Why he's waiting till November? to keep Demecrats in control till after the presidential election...a political move almost as bad as raising the security level to remind us that "Hey lookie here not at Kerry, Bush boi and Channey are in power still remember us?"...not saying that is the case, but i don't put it past them...
He's stepping down because he's embarassed and wants to get away from scandle...its damage control...As Aries-sama said

I'm in PA and we have this weird fund between NJ for some reason. I don't see it as that big a deal, but I am displeased that he cheaped now his wife with a man, who I'm guess they were in the same offical.

It seems kind of odd that he married twice though, the second time it seems like an effort to cover up his sexuality. He probably didn't resign because he was gay, rather that he put someone in charge of the states security who was wholly unqualified just to get laid is what it seems. As for resigning and not wanting a special election, he was elected to serve a 4 year term, he has every right to see that that term is served as he wished. It is typical of republicans to want to overturn democratically elected officials mandates wherever they can.

I read about that a little while ago. And I still don't see why he resigned. Sexuality should have nothing to do about how you run your state... He resigned because of his own corruption, not because of his sexuality. Extortion being one of them, and that in itself makes him unable to run the state. I mean, how trustworthy is he for that? How much money is he really taking from the state itself?

He resigned 'cause the guy he did it with was being payed by the state, as sort of blackmail, y'know? The idea was to avoid all the scandals. Quite frankly, I'm impressed. McGreevy should be the president. Why you ask? Because if he'll be honest with his sexuality, then he won't feed you stupid bullshit about his policies.

I, for one, was caught off guard. I really didn't see THIS happening... It's kind of sad, though, that he ended up resigning. It is being generally assumed that he was being blackmailed by his lover and that was a major reason. It also seems that most of the politicians in the state want him to step down, despite a movement from the actual populace to have him rescind his resignation. The funny part is that, after his announcement, his Approval Ratings went up two points.

I think that's scary, since he admitted that he extorted money from farmers.
