all i know is there are some fucked up stupid people in this world and that judge is one of them and i hate people that blindly follow a religion and they are really strict about their religion because that is just stupid. people need to make up their own mind in regards to religion when their ready.

You laugh, but it's true. Microsoft products cause blindness in all but those who have sold their sould to Bill Gates.

I do wonder just what factors made the judge decide to make that call. The article mentions a Catholic school, but I know plenty of people who go to such institutions with no faith in Christian beliefs whatsoever.
As near as I can tell, sounds like the guy was just being a biggoted asshat.
Regardless, I do find it ridiculous that such a decision was tacked on. Neither parent asked for it and the reasoning behind it is flawed, especially since Wicca is one of the most widely recognized pagan religions. Myself, I don't really have an official religion. More elementalist/spirit beliefs. Connections between things, that sort of stuff. Still, if I were ever in such a situation, I'd be pissed too.

Aye. You think we could ever replace judges with truly impartial robots of some kind?

And end up with a massive robot uprising, I don't think so. Fuck robots. I can see it now:
"And the verdict is... ALL HUMANS MUST BURN!"

Aw come on. What kind of puss-ass future doesn't involve a robot uprising?

Oh, yeah, sure, Termie.
First they start settling our disputes. Then what's next? Making our political decisions? Fixing our McDonalds' food? Playing our football games? Fighting our wars? Writing our anime? Dressing our pets? Making the music we listen to on the radio on our way to a job that robots mostly do for us anyway?
...
Oh, no, Aries is talking about anthros, not robots! If we had robots doing that stuff, it'd be cool. Anthros? Less so.
*whispers conspiratorially.*
...dey cwaaaazy, son...

It's just a judge-bot, you sci-fi watchin' dumbasses. Didn't you see that Will Smith movie with the Robots? The super-computer was programmed with a logic center and commands to protect humans. Of course, using its logic and programing, it decides that humans are too stupid to do their own thing and it must use its ARMY OF ROBOTS to protect it. Besides, I'm all for robotics. Just not ones that we can fully control. That's just stupid.

I happen to work with A.I. irl. Believe me, nothing like that is gunna happen. Unless the Democrats get back in the White House soon. In that case, we're screwed.

Because we all know the Democrats hate Christians!
Anyone, it's fun to joke around. Yeah, unless we make signifigant leaps and bounds in AI technology, nothing like that will happen, but still, I have my anti-Robot stockpile ready to be used at any moment.

Actually, I'm sitting on some information that'd rock the AI world into the next millennium. Unfortunately, I'm lazy. So it'll be a while before it's coded and available. And I can't give much extra information without risking someone else stealing my idea before I have it registered.
