However, suddenly next to Rowan there was a flash, and Mir appeared next to his shoulder.
"No, Lance Corporal, you won't be needing a Warthog. All of your combat will be inside the outpost, and I do believe there is no room in its hallways for Warthogs."

Jamison smirked.
"Perfect, I like looking at my enemy as they die."
The large black man stood up from his seat and headed for the armory.
"At least we don't have any fucking rookies on our Teams."
He exited the room and went down the corridor for the armory.

OOC: Of course to a real halo player, the fact that it is inside means a Warthog is necessary if for no other reason to prove how far you can get the vehicle in.

Gabriel didn't answer either of the people who talked to him, already decked out with all the weapons and ammo he'd need for this mission: Battle Rifle, pistol, fragmentation grenades. He had already been ready since he had been put on sentry duty topside. He had simply moved down into the Baltimore's hangar and into the Pelican when he had recieved word that he was going to be leading Tango Team.
He rose from his seat, still holding his primed and loaded rifle, then glared down at 534, the unsaid words passing between them 'Commando mission. We're the intruders. Lots of bad guys. What the fuck do you think?'
He worked up to the pilots' section of the cockpit and put his hands on the pilot's and co-pilot's seats. "Let's go," he said brusquely.

Carl smiled.
"Then we're off."
The engines rotated and fired. The Pelican rose and was out of the ship in a matter of seconds. Flying low over the canopy of the jungle, Carl use skillfully flew the craft using the trees as cover.
"We should arrive there in a few minutes. Until then, sit back, relax, and enjoy the flight."
Carl checked the nav-point on his HUD. They were only a few kilometers away. As they approached, he could see the massive complex. It was unlike anything he had ever seen before in his entire life. It was one large ring with several smaller rings inside of it, each connected by large hallway-like structures. Two large towers rose from the main building and stood above the complex. He shook his head and checked the nav-point again. He flew even lower and saw the plasma turrent. He pushed the ships throttle further and flew straight for it. The Covenant didn't suspect a thing until it was too late. Several meters before reaching it, he had his ship fly to the side and dropped the rear over the turret's landing.
"GO, GO, GO!"
Carl pointed the chin-mounted machine guns at the turret and fired into what he presumed was a weak point. As soon as Tango team left the dropship, he turned the Pelican around and kicked it into high again, leaving the base behind as quickly as he arrived. The two closest turrets opened fire, but were not quick enough to hit the dropship, and the Pelican dropped into the forest and landed gently. Carl reported to the Baltimore.
"Captain, Tango Team has landed."

OOC: ...We'll just assume I got the Data Module and jumped aboard the Pelican off-camera, m'kay? ^_~
IC:
Vince breathed a quiet sigh of relief when the Pelican landed in one piece. Well, the first part worked out without a problem... He glances about at the others around him; if any had any real worries, they weren't showing it at all. God, I hope I don't look as anxious as I feel...

(Off camera...Rowan comes tearing down the hangar. "WAAAAIIIIT!")
---
Rowan immediately slotted a music chip into his helmet, did a quick double-check of his gear, and shouldered a large bag of ammo, plus his own equipment.
With great relish and an uncessesarily loud whoop, he chambered a round. He continued to scream into the com, over his music.
"Hell yes! Infiltrate and eliminate!"

As Tango team lands on the open to the air turret platform, the personell there begin to flee.
"Run! They're here!" The plasma turret gunner shouts. The green armored grunt runs away from the turret, firing his needler at the entire group as it nears the doorway into the complex, a red armored Grunt begins firing out at Tango team, shooting a Plasma Pistol to cover the gunner's escape.

Unit 534 sits at the open back of the aircraft during the approach with his battle rifle aimed as it comes in for the drop off. He fires off a burst of rounds aiming straight at the red grunt's head. A blue aura briefly appears as a green pistol shot splashe's the spartans shields. The spartan as this happens jumps out and rolls onto the ground immediatly towards cover to avoid turret fire.

316's boots hit the deck, sending a small animal scurrying through the undergrowth. He immediately looked up at the Grunts, then grinned viciously, though nobody saw.
"Gooooooooood Morning, Vietnaaaaaam!" he shouted, startling even his own Marines, then raised his battle rifle and loosed a three-round burst, chewing the green-armored Grunt through the back.
After that outburst, however, he went silent, then pointed Jamison, Glenn, and 534 up towards the plasma turret with the hand signal 'Secure that position'. Then he stalked over to Rowan and slapped an armored fist up against his helmet.
"Shut that crap off!!" he shouted over the music.

Red ichor flies from the red armored Grunt's head, spattering over the ground behind him as he falls. The green armored Grunt falls with a sickening scream as the bullets hit him wetly, sending him onto his face dead.
The turret seemed ethereally quiet after the quick assault.

(Sorry that I didn't note this before, but only Rowan can hear the music in his helmet ) Corporal Cho hustled out of the Pelican, sweeping the area with his MA5B even though there were no enemies clearly in sight. Suddenly he saw stars as he unexpectedly hit the dirt. He dimly heard over his music, "SHUT THAT CRAP OFF!" He gathered himself off the ground and realized he had turned up the volume so much that it was audible outside of his sealed helmet. He dialed it down a fraction. Then he decided it wasn't worth it, and as the SPARTAN requested, shut the crap off. He turned and broadcast in the general direction of the two huge green-armored swabbies. "The hell we goin', man?"

Jamison swung his shotgun off his shoulder and into his hands.
He nodded at the Spartan as it gave the motion to secure the turret.
"You heard the man."
Jamison smirked flicking the safety of his M9 shotgun to fire and looking at 534 and Glenn.
"Lets fuck up these bastard's block party."

Glenn let loose a wild grin, and put away his shotgun, opting for his specialized pistols. He dashes to the side of the door, holding both pistols tight. He looks towards the large Spartan in charge.
"Mind if I go in first?"

"Neg marine, I go first, you don't have the same shielding. " 534 responded quickly but softly. 534 gave the hand signal to 316 telling them to cover their asses from snipers. He then signalled the others to follow behind him Glenn have his weapon aimed at their left flank, Jamison right as they advanced.
'Sarge' raised his battle rifle as he emerged from his cover moving it in a canvasing motion around the front as he moved along the edge of the treeline towards the turret in a squatting position. He was vigilant for any chance of an ambush.
