Name: Erin Age: 19 Sex: Female Hair Color & Style: Short Red Hair (Dyed), many bangs. Eye Color: Blue Height: 5' 8" Weight: 106 Race: Human Armor: Exo-Suit Armor Type: Rising Gundam Armaments: - 1x Beam Glaive - 1x Beam Bow Favorite Weapon: Bow Likes: Playing jokes on people, Procrastinating, Video games. Dislikes: Watching tv, animals, people who act better than others. Background/Bio: Erin grew up in a wealthy household near the eastern shore of the United States. She had always been pampered, but never let it go to her head. Rather than spoil herself with wealth, she used it to make herself smarter through studying. She really resented the fact that her family could be so careless when other people were poor, and in debt. She trained herself in archery, as it fascinated her, and spent much of her time with friends, rather than be with her family. She tries to get along with people, unless they act 'holier than thou'. After seeing the events of the first war, she joins the UEG to help her world.
Booya. Third character will be up soon.

I have a few questions before I'll be able to post my characters, if that is okay.
1. Do I need to read to previous story to understand what's going on? Or would someone symmarize what's happened.
2. What are the various factions, and what do they represent?
3. Where is the setting for this RPG? Earth and its Colonies?
4. This takes place after the A.D. calander right?
5. Would it be possible for one of my characters to maybe be a bioweapon.
6. When is the IC thread gonna be ready?
I think that is all my questions at the moment. Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance. 1) not really, but if you want a general idea of some of the going-ons in the previous RP, read the 'Last Dance' thread in the fanfic forum. 2) The UEG (United Earth Government) is the main governing body on Earth. AOL (Angels of Liberation) is the name of a spacenoid army that was at war with the UEG for a very long time. They are now (eight years after the war) the two members of the alliance. The Yamato Corporation was a mega-corp that tried to take control of the Earthsphere during the five years immediately after the war ended, when both nations were incredibly weak. It was defeated at the end of the previous RP 3) Earth and the Colonies is correct 4) Correct 5) Possibly, depends on what you have in mind. 6) When we have a few more players. Probably a couple days.

Name: Drake Age: Unknown, thought to be about 25 Sex: Male Hair Color & Style: Jet black, slightly unkempt Eye Color: Grey Height: 6'1" Weight: 174 lbs. Race: Human
Armour Name: Bio-Booster Unit 015 Armour Type: Pseudo-Morpher Armor Description: The signature armor of the Dragon's Claws. It is colored black with red highlights with "DC" carved into the area near the left collarbone in red. It also has "Unit 015" etched onto the left forearm.
The exoskeleton is covered with hardpoint-like connections along the spine and on the forearms. A chargeable plasma cannon fits onto either forearm and utilizes the hardpoints on the arm it is on, but it is unknown what goes into the hardpoints along the spine and possibly the other arm, since all the hardpoints are identical in construction. It boosts Drake¡¯s agility, speed, and strength by a considerable amount. The armor also contains several electric field generators built into various parts of the armor and a cloaking device which keeps Drake from being seen with the naked eye. However, the cloaking device can only run for a limited period of time before it has to recharge. The electric field generators can be used separately or all at once to generate a field around the entire armor, but this uses power more quickly than just using one generator, and also increases the likelihood of shorting out one or all of the generators. The electric field generators have the unique side effect of dissipating beam shots and beam sabers on contact. This is probably due to the magnetic effects of the field that break down containing fields for beam shots and sabers. This reverse magnetic field also exhibits the ability to slow bullets and other metal objects entering it, sometimes even stopping them completely. Also, the field is able to short out electronic objects. This field runs for a limited amount of time and overuse will damage the unit. The armor provides complete protection against small-arms fire. The implants that the armor comes from are not visible to the eye and invisible to almost every kind of sensor.
Armaments: Plasma Cannon HF Blade (Vibro Ninja-To with a longer blade than usual) Cloaking Device Electric Field Generators
Favorite Weapon: Himself
Likes: His new life, his birth brother, the voices
Dislikes: Fighting
Special Item: Bio-Booster Unit 015
Background/Bio: A previous life... Drake was a man trying to discover his past. He wandered for what seemed like countless years to discover himself. And he found it. Drake found himself. But it wasn¡¯t himself.
"Ah. My son. You are the first of my children to find me."
His father¡he was not Drake Canon, CEO of Pearl of Immortality Technologies, but "DC", the DNA sample from which twenty children were born, ten sons and ten daughters. Twenty children who had no names and no lives, no pasts and no futures. Twenty children who grew to adulthood so much faster than they should have. The truth, which had been hidden for so long from Drake, was told.
Drake was not a man. He was a weapon. His mission, forgotten since the day he jumped from a window into the sky below, had yet to be fulfilled.
...Ended by its creator... Drake, the fifteenth clone of "DC", stood alone before his father. It was on that day that the life of Drake the wanderer ended. He stood reborn as simply Drake, who was in control of his own life. DC looked down at his son.
"Do you know why you were born?"
"If the purpose for which you were born has not yet been fulfilled, then what reason do you have for continuing to exist?"
Drake, as a tool of war, was born for the purpose of assisting in the course of a war. But the war for which he was created was over, and the creations he had been created to control were slowly decreasing in number.
Can a weapon ever be anything but a tool of war?
Drake shook his head and laughed.
"Let this sword be a plowshare."
DC nodded. He was old, and he knew what a lifetime of war did to humans. And that was what Drake was, after all. Only human. A little bit more, perhaps, but in the end, what did that matter?
Drake felt something in the back of his head turn itself off. He nodded to his father and walked away. He was free, and he would be master of his own destiny.
He found his siblings not long after that. Their memory blocks lifted, they found their ways back to the place of their birth. Drake's birth brother, "Judas", was the first. Now there is only one more missing, and Drake will stop at nothing to find his sister.
The Mind of a Killer Drake is rather untrusting of strangers and also quite introverted, though this has lessened somewhat after he found his siblings. His schizophrenia has remained the same, though he has found out that it is actually several parts of his personality as well as his repressed memories that influence what the voices say. Now that he is not quite as tormented as before, he no longer hates the voices. He has become more well-adjusted now that he has rediscovered his past and his family, and will fight to protect his new life.
The Clone of Something Not Quite Human Drake's past began in a test tube. He is clone whose growth was accelerated to its late teens, and then he became who he is today. Implants and modifications were added to his body and brain, and he was given his armor.
The armor is as much a part of Drake's body as his limbs are, and is the result of years of work by the scientists of Pearl of Immortality Technologies. The armor is a marvel of engineering and contains hundreds of unique pieces of technology that could only have sprung from the mind of the CEO of PoIT, Drake Canon. Unfortunately, the very nature of Drake and his siblings meant that their lives were unnecessarily hard, and all twenty of them each experienced their own personal hells.
Drake himself wandered far and wide before encountering his father and learning his past, constantly tormented by the voices and his lost memories. However, once he found his siblings, his life turned around. He embraced his new life and has since become a more normal person. He has tried not to fight since encountering his father, but Fate, it seems, will not allow it.

Thanks Mega Raptor. And on the bioweapon, my idea was to have one of my characters be one of the escaped bioweapons. Well he really didn't escape; more like a kindly old man took him to be his son to replace the one he had lost.

My advice, Herro, is this. Create your character first, then we will scrutinise. We want to determine everything about the character first before we can determine whether it will be accepted or not. Anyways, welcome to the board, AND the RP. Cybaster: After some debating, I personally trust your rping skills and abilities. To make things fair, however, I ask you to cap the number of funnel missiles Souffle has, namely down to 12. Funnel missiles are powerful weapons to have, and being armed with many would be too much.

Thanks for the advice Aegis. I do have five more questions.
1. What suits are allowed/not allowed? 2. What is technology level, like UC tech, SEED tech, etc? 3. What year is this taking place in? 4. How many years have pasted since the calander was switched? In other words, it would be like 4000 A.D. or something like that if we were using the A.D. calander. 5. Where is everyone's character(s) at the moment?
After this round of questions I hope to post my profiles tomorrow, maybe today.

Read Basic Rule #4 in second post. 2. " " " " 3. Not sure, I think the first posts says 2008 4. The first post and several posts in here say AD. 5. If you notice the post date of the first post, or checked to see if there was an IC post (which there isn't), you'd see it just started and there are no real "current locations" therefor. Roargh.

Coming back very quickly, let me address these: 1) The kind of MS (or mechs, in this case, as EVERY franchise are allowed) will be detemined based on the stats you give us. If we deem them to be overpowered, we will ask you to tone them down, or outright not use them at all. MS like Devil, Turn X, and Turn A have already been deemed too powerful based on knowledge of the stats. For the most part, however, we are flexible and will allow some leeway, but in the end, you just use the mech and we will determine them ourselves. 2) This isn't any particular universe at all as far as technology is concerned. Afterall, we've got some G Gundam characters mixed in with Macross and Zone of the Enders in there, so technology varies. We just don't want a player to possess invincible armour and a single gun that blows up a planet. I will give you a general idea of how the tech looks like... this is an apocalyptic setting in which it is only begun to heal. On top of that, some of the high technology of the past still remains (hover vehicles such as bikes or the old flying cars or the very high speed Internets, holograms... if you've seen Batman Beyond, that's what I'm really looking for, only even darker and gloomier). 3) Should be stated better, but it is definitely April 1, 2008. 4) Frankly, I don't know and don't even care. All that matters to me is that this is the future, it is a made up universe, and it takes place many years after the AD calendar. Just worry about one thing: this is now the NC calendar, and we are in 2008 NC. 5) The IC has not started, so no character is anywhere at the moment, other than they are being put together. Besides, I certainly will not tell any one of you where my characters will start, so simply sit and wait, and you'll then know for sure. ^^ Point here is, there is much leeway to be made in this, and this whole timeline and future are made up. So all I'm asking is that you stay within the boundaries of the story in both RP and in the fanfiction, and simply rely on your creativity. Anything concrete, you'll more than find them in the rules on the first page, so please read them carefully. Whatever you put together, we will determine if it is fitting or not. ^^

Well, the problem with Funnel Missiles are that they're expendable; They blow up and don't come back, really, unlike normal Funnels which come back to haunt a target ten times over. I'd personally say 24 (2 Funnel Missile racks of 12 missiles each, double what you suggested) or at most 32 (2 racks of 16 missiles each) is a good limit, but I'll comply with the GM's decision anyway.

I'd personally say 24 (2 Funnel Missile racks of 12 missiles each, double what you suggested) or at most 32 (2 racks of 16 missiles each) is a good limit, but I'll comply with the GM's decision anyway. -Cyb Believe me, we both thought of this thoroughly, and while it is true that funnel missiles are expendable, the fact is that having even a set amount of missiles like 24 would be too much. These are not like your typical warheads afterall, and while they are expendable, they aren't exactly simple targets like typical funnels, and very unlike funnels, touching them kills you. So we came to two conclusions: significantly reduce the damage, or set the funnel pods a limit on what they can hold. We figured since this is added newtype technology being placed with the warhead, and we didn't want to lessen its yield, the quantity limit is where it's at. Besides, given some time, one supposes you can always reload the launchers in some form. >>
