Gunn walks down the hallway and opens up the door to room #17. Inside, he finds a decent sized appartment. Kitchen in front, bedroom in back, two other rooms between. He drops a duffel bag in the bedroom, on the bed.
Twenty minutes after arriving, he's made it home. A decent sized TV in the living room, an extremely expensive Alienware computer sitting on a desk in the bedroom. A wall-spanning corner couch in the living room, leather, and a set of recliners to match.

what? I don't like it's story line (the end part anyway) the furzy grafics, Raiden, Snake being a 2nd class now, the 70% video over 30% gameplay... ect

what? I don't like it's story line (the end part anyway) the furzy grafics, Raiden, Snake being a 2nd class now, the 70% video over 30% gameplay... ect I should rip your head clean off and punt it back to whatever assbackwards place you come from, but I'm not going to. Everyone's entited to their opinion. Personally, I don't care who likes it and who doesn't. I love the game. However, shall I remind you that the original Metal Gear was also almost 70/30 story over gameplay? And that Metal Gear 2 is leading up to Metal Gear 3, in which all is supposedly promised to be explained, even Raiden. It's my personal belief that Metal Gear 2 is the first step into introducing a new character to carry on the Metal Gear lineage. Snake just can't keep doing what he's been doing. He's 40 in Metal Gear Solid, for Christ's sake. It's my opinion that Konami really couldn't have done a better job with introducing Raiden. The unfortunate part about everyone talking about Metal Gear 2 is, none of you are familiar with the VERY FIRST Metal Gear. (No, NO, I am NOT talking about Metal Gear Solid for the PS) Metal Gear was released on one of the older consoles, NES, SNES. And, in that game, SNAKE HIMSELF was on his very first mission. First. Ever. And he was a snot-nosed kid, just like Raiden. Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake was released on the NES/SNES (Can't remember which), which led him forward into becomming a more experienced soldier. FOLLOWING THAT was the release of Metal Gear Solid, which completely introduced most of us to Solid Snake and his (in)famous abilities and stand-alone infiltration technique. The point of all this is simple. Snake has been around for a very long time. His character has spanned 4 games, coming on 5 with the release of Snake Eater. I think Konami simply can't carry on with him. Raiden, however, they can. They can take it further from there with a younger character, gaining experience to become the next legend of Metal Gear's franchise. I kind of feel sorry for anyone that doesn't see the mastery it took to do that, the care and precision, and the sheer dedication to the series. Personally, I can't wait to see what comes next. |
