Alright, I caught wind that the military is going to look into the draft again... who here qualifies? I know I do, so expect to see me over there if I'm one of the unlucky ones. Who else here could get called over in case of a draft?

Not surprising after what's been going on over the recent years.

Not yet. I'm not really physically fit for it, and I'm only 17, with about 6 months until I hit 18.

Phht. Draft = Not Happening. Keep in mind the Draft was brought up earlier before election time by a single democrat in congress, who immediately also voted against it.
Don't worry Libra, its just people trying to scare kids like you.

Logically, it doesn't seem likely that the current government would enact a draft. Yet considering the sheer volume of incredibly stupid and reckless things the Bush Administration has done, I can't say it's not a possibility.
Should be moved to the debate hall, by the way.

Oh god, lets call the Bush Administration reckless, because Kerry was a hell of a lot more secure? Hell, at least dubya took a side in an arguement.

Wasn't a political arguement until you started politics, idiot. I merely stated a fact to back not worrying. Thus QUIET.

A) At the risk of going too political... pfffffffff. Bush is easily as indecisive as he painted Kerry. On tons of issues. Fuck, one of his campaign platforms was not playing hands in foreign governments. Annnnyway...
B) Bush has no reason not to re-instate the draft. He doesn't have to worry about re-election and whatnot, now does he? Not to mention his excelent track record on keeping his campaign promices.
C) Yeah, the whole draft talks were brought on by Democrats. Kinda funny how they managed to twist it around to the Republicans trying to reinstate it...
As it goes, though, I don't expect to actually see the draft come back. There's the possibility, but slim. Sleep easy. Move to Canada if it goes to vote.

I'm old enough for being screwed over by the military if they so choose. And if Russia doesn't stop giving nuclear matereals to Iran before Bush's second term is up, I may just end up getting shipped out.

Fuck that, we Canadians don't want you assholes. Heh, not like Canada's all that great, I mean do you really want to be in a country where other nations could conquer it easily, but don't want to because it would send their nation's economy down the drain?

Also he acullty mispronued a lot of the stuff he says on purpost becuese more American talk the way he does. Actually, poor Dubya never had his pallate completely harden. It's the best he can do to not be speaking like a two-year-old! Er... Yeah, anyway. Like I said, don't worry 'bout the draft for now. It might happen, but there'll be plenty of forewarning that it's coming.
