That doesn't give them an excuse to lie, Sab.

This reminds me of the misconception going around that birth control pills is like abortion. Birth control prevents any egg from being released so when you have sex, there's no egg there for the sperm to fertilize.

It seems to me, from reading that article, that such programs are arguing less for abstinence than they sre arguing against birth control. Well said. Exactly what I was thinking.

Its quite a large percentage that do have STDs. Not half, sure, but large enough to be notable.

i have to say that it seems everyone believes that abstances is the safest way but schools and parents should also teach about birth control instead of just lying to them trying to scare them into not being gay or not getting anywhere near the opposite sex.

Well actually abistinence is the best way to protect against STDs considering condoms fail 30% of the time. But alas, people are stupid, and have sex with more than one person. Damn you hippies!!

Hey, better than not working at all. If you're gonna do it, might as well have some protection.

You can't scare anyone into not being gay. We've already proven that generally doesn't work.

That doesn't make them not gay, that means they are just pretending to be straight.

I agree with Raz on that one. It's just like pretending to be someone's friend. That's not how you really feel, you're just doing it to avoid conflict.
