Let's see, Japan pretty much loves Disney movies, and funny thing is that many of the people here hate them.

America has this odd way of taking things from somewhere else, twisting it around a bit and calling it our own...well sorta...The japanese culture that has needless to say exploded here in the states is simply because business took it. contorted it, rammed it into a mold and made it marketable in the states...Pokemon is a horrid basterization of this...there are some who still think "Cute fuzzy annoying animals" when they think of Japan...People do tend to be ignorent...
Now I work with someone who happens to be engulfed with Japan, if not obsessed...we'll call it the type A Fan...he studies the language, the history, loves Anime (which he pronounces Ah-nee-may and clams thats correct...i could care less) watches it, and even has friends on the Port-Con commitee board and helped them out...He is by all standards as wag said, a Nerd...However take myself for example, we'll call it the Type B fan, who enjoys the art, the story lines of the anime, its technology, and simply is only interested in the other things...
Amongst these the B fan type it splits down further. we'll call it the B1 and B2 type fans for orginization. B1 will be those who watch the Sat. Morning Card Cartoons. (Pokemon to Yugioh because so many deal with Cards now) and know only of them. Or watched when it was on every afternoon DBZ, or what not...the Toonami Generation perhaps...B2 however has endulged in other little known forms of Anime, like Hellsing (When it first was released) Magic Knight Rayearth, Scryde, Trigun, Angel Sanctuary, Angelic Layer, so on and so forth...they i consider the "True Culture" Fans...because they are not processed through American commerce...
But seeing that this entire group of people are made up of outcasts, how odd is it that we ourselves outcast our own kind sometimes. People taunt others for being interested in one thing or another, and type A sometimes dosen't get along with type B, and even both type B's don't get along. We hate being segregated, but even the victims are hypocritical.
So what do we have here? A sub culture of outcasts who outcast people? oh how lovely...not only do we have the birth of a revolution, we have the repetition of old flawed ways of life...Anime Darwinism...oh shoot me
