Columns of storm troopers marching through the streets of a southern city. All they need is ruin around them and it would be like my greatest dream come to reality!

You ought to make a Dak Helmet costume and make them all hold their crotch before your precence. My current town has nothing really worth noting that is wierd. Honestly. My birth-town of Milwaukee (and outer towns) is noticable of mentioning as a little known fact taht quite a bit of Milwaukee is of German Descent, a huge portion. There is even an honest Oktoberfest. Some people even wear Leiderhosen. We have an Oktoberfest here too (I beleive, I saw a billboard advertising it around here) as well as random Renaissance festivals strewn throughout the state. But I can't think of anything noticably strange about the town off the top of my head. (Though, I always wondered about those three crosses and why they were there in the first place.)

Most states have "Oktoberfest"s in the form of just like State Fairs, we actually had like German goods (german beers, german mugs), etc.

We do that here. We also have an Italian festival with all things Italian, not to mention St. Patti's Day, when everyone becomes Irish enough to get drunk off their asses. It's not weird here, as it has company.
I guess Nevada needs to be quirky, though. Why else would people come to this sandy little wasteland? Skiing? Pff... That requires snow! Which is cold!

The only thing I can think of right now, is that really ugly house down my street. The people living there had it painted ORANGE and PURPLE!
Every so often when my friend brings me home from school, him and the other guys keep going down the street and honk at the house and leave. Serves them right, I guess, for doing that.

Our city, too, has a quite large Irish quarter, and thus, a large St. Patrick's day event which I never attend. But it's interesting to be in the Irish part of town... they even flipped the traffic lights to make it seem more like Europe.
